I was rushing to wrap all the Christmas gifts I got for everyone. Sydney and Matt are having a Christmas dinner and gift exchange tonight, Christmas Eve. Tomorrow morning, Steph, Mitch, Auston and I would spend the morning together and then Steph and Mitch would go visit their families. Auston and I didn't have that luxury, my parents live in Australia, Marlie and her husband live in California and the rest of them live in Calgary.

After I was done wrapping everything I put it all into a bag and rushed out the door, I mostly just got gift cards for people I didn't know as well. For Syd I got her a really beautiful givenchy purse, I wanted it for myself but I thought it suited Sydney more, and I got Matt a new wallet because his was looking really old and gross. For Willy, I purchased him a package to get his car detailed because honestly I don't think he's cleaned it since he purchased it.

Everyone else I just got them nice but random things, things I knew they needed or wanted. I was pretty happy with what I got everyone, I just hoped that they all liked everything.

Steph and I were meeting the everyone at Sydney and Matt's because it was just easier than picking people up and stuff.

When we got there, our nostrils were filled with the warm scent of Christmas, and for once this season, I really felt like I was in the Christmas spirit.

"Hey babies!" Syd came running around the corner, pulling us in for hugs and taking our ginormous bags of gifts to the tree.

Well that was an understatement, the entire living room was full of presents and I wasn't really sure how we were supposed to open them all or even fit them all in there.

"Holy smokes!" I exclaimed when I saw the mountain of wrapped boxes and pretty gift bags.

"I know! I underestimated the amount of people to amount of gifts!" Sydney laughed.

"Yeah no kidding!" Steph giggled.

We heard the front door open and then some stumbling. It must have been Mitch and Auston because who else makes that much of a racket coming through the front door.

"We're here bitches!" Yep, it was Mitch.

"Mitchy!" Steph ran to him and into his arms.

I would have done the same for Auston, except lately we've been a little more distant, just trying to figure out our relationship day by day, neither one of us wanted to over step our boundaries.

"Hey." Auston smiled, pulling me in for a side hug and kissing my cheek.

"Hey Aus." I replied, smiling back at his warm touch. I love him so much, but it was hard to be the loving girlfriend that Steph was when we just went through that entire ordeal.

Steph was lucky with Mitch, he's so in love with her he would never do anything to hurt her. And she knows that, and honestly, I see them getting married later on in life. I'm not sure where I see Auston and I, it really all depends on a lot of things.

"Hey look it's dumb and dumber!" Matt came around the corner laughing, I giggled at his comment as he pulled the boys in for hugs.

"Matt!" Sydney playfully slapped his shoulder

"Do you two ever go anywhere without each other?" Matt asked Steph and I and he started to give us both a hug too.

"No not really. We're soulmates!" Steph giggled and I nodded my head laughing.

After everyone was there and we'd all been passing hugs around, we sat down for dinner. Everyone ate and talked and laughed over dinner. It was like being with family, except we were all one big, dysfunctional, weird, but insanely happy hockey family. I couldn't be more grateful either, being here and seeing everyone really warmed my heart and made me realize just how many people I have in my life to support and love me.

"Gift time!" Sydney cheered, as she cleaned the last dishes off the table. She was a great host and she wouldn't even let anyone help her clean up, I felt bad, but she loved doing stuff like this.

"Yay!" Mitch cheered like a 5 year old. Who am I kidding, he is a 5 year old.

Everyone went into the living room, trying to find a spot to sit, anywhere would be fine, but there really wasn't that much space.

"I vote, that since Steph and (Y/N) are the youngest ones here, they hand out all the presents!" Matt came in the room announcing, and literally everyone agreed to it, except Steph and I. But since we're good people, we started handing gifts out, and people were waiting patently for us to finish. It took probably over 15 minutes for Steph and I to get everything distributed.

"Okay lets open!" Kasperi said anxiously

"Someone's excited!" Nazem joked which got a chuckle from everyone in the room.

It took a while to open everything but I got a lot of nice things, I was surprised at how well people knew my taste. Sydney got me the nicest Gucci belt I've ever seen, JVR actually nailed it when I opened his gift, the Kat Von D shade and light palette, oh my god. I received a lot of makeup and gift cards, the cutest pair of velvet old skool vans from William, he certainly knew my taste. I was in awe. This was by far the biggest Christmas I've ever had in my life.

Last week I sent out the Christmas gifts that I got for my family and I started receiving gifts around the same time that I sent mine away.

Everyone helped clean up the living room and put our stuff in our cars and then we went back inside and chatted, laughing and joking for a long while. Sipping on red wine that Sydney insisted we try, and trying not to fall asleep. I was pretty exhausted though, and I was happy when Nazem was the first to say goodbye, then a few others followed out after that including Mo and JVR.

Steph and I were next, accompanied by Auston and Mitch, we all were going back to our apartment because that's where the gifts were.

Getting back, we all just went to bed, we were all exhausted and I was more than ready to just fall asleep.
