Chapter 6

Today was the day Mitch and Steph were coming home from wherever they went. I was excited to see my friends, Steph and I have been best friends for a long time and Mitch is pretty much the male version of her so we got along just fine. He was honestly like a brother to me.

I wasn't sure if I should tell them what happened with Auston or not though, I mean, we didn't do anything, really, he was just being compassionate. I enjoyed it though and I keep finding myself going back to that moment and wondering what more could have happened, how far we could have taken it.

I was distracted by my thoughts when I heard my phone ring. Truthfully I was surprised to see the caller ID, I couldn't believe why Justin was calling me. I wasn't going to accept his apology, yes I miss him a lot but he hurt me, he broke me, how do I know he's not going to cheat again? How do I know he hasn't cheating before?

"Hello?" I answered sharply

"I'm glad you picked up." I could hear that he was smiling from the other end of the phone.

We stayed quiet for what felt like an eternity.

"I'm really sorry. I want you back, I miss you." I heard his words echo through the phone in the emptiness of the morning.

"Well that's not going to happen, you destroyed any and all trust I had for you." I harshly stated.

I couldn't believe he had the audacity to call me and apologize and then ask for me back.

Justin let out a long sigh from the other end of the phone before ending the call. I was glad that didn't go any longer than it had to.

I've been standing at the coffee pot forever, waiting for it to be done, so I could pour myself a cup before my day began.

I was sitting at the breakfast counter in the kitchen when Auston sauntered to the coffee pot, not saying a single word to me. Yesterday was great, he was so nice to me, I figured maybe our friendship was beginning to blossom.

"This coffee sucks." He mumbled

"Not even a good morning?" I asked

"Why would I say good morning? We hate each other and I'm really happy to finally be leaving today."

Ouch. That hurt more than I thought.
I didn't expect those words to come out of his mouth.

"Auston why are you so rude to me again? You were fine yesterday!" I demanded an answer

"I was just trying to get through these past few days without fighting and being miserable. Sorry if I gave you the wrong idea." He looked me dead in the eyes, with a stone cold expression, it was clear. He really did hate me.

All at once I felt tears brimming my eyes and I ran to my room, I couldn't be around him if he was going to be like this. I didn't know what I did that made him mad again. The way he was with me these past few days felt like genuine kindness.

Rather than sulking I decided I would film a haul video. It was uploading day tomorrow anyways. Being a youtuber was fun, the best job anyone could ask for. And the money was really starting to come in, I had almost 4 million subscribers and I uploaded twice a week which means the bank was really coming in.

I was wondering if I should upload on more days but I didn't want to run out of video ideas or anything.

"Hey guys, it's (Y/N)! I'm glad to be back and filming again! I'm going to be doing a haul for you today since I went shopping yesterday and bought a whole bunch of new stuff that I think you're going to really like!"

After filming and editing my video it was 2:00pm and I was feeling extremely hungry, to the point where I thought my stomach was going to start eating away at itself.

We had food at the house that I could make, but Auston was just being so ridiculous today that I couldn't handle him and I didn't want to be around him.

'Me
"I'm going for lunch, text me if Mitch and Steph come back while I'm out."

"K"

I rolled my eyes, I really couldn't believe him. I shut the front door hard without slamming it to let him know I was mad.

I decided I would go get Wok Box, my favourite. I only had it once in a while because it was so unhealthy, but I think I deserved it today.

My phone vibrated in my pocket letting me know I got a text.

Stephy💝
"Hey babes, Mitchy and I decided to stay one more night! Auston already agreed to stay again, how are things going with him?"

Me
"I'll tell you when you get home, it's confusing."

Stephy💝
"What do you mean? Is everything okay?"

Me
"It will be😊"

I locked my phone and instantly got another text.

Auston Matthews
"Mitch and Steph aren't coming back tonight. I'm staying again."

Me
"K"

I only sent him that to mock what he said earlier but I kind of regretted it, I felt bad.

Mitch Marns
"What's going on with you and Aus?"

Me
"Nothing! It's not even a big deal, I told Steph I would tell her when she gets home, trust me it's nothing! Just enjoy your vacation you deserve it!"

Groaning, I was finally able to start eating, after all those texts and that drama, I was even hungrier. When I was all done eating I got in my car and started it. Once again my phone vibrated and I checked to see who was texting me now.

"Come back please, I need to make something up to you."

I was confused. What was he planning?
