- One Week Later -

I was drawn out of sleep by a sweet gentle pair of lips placed upon mine, fluttering my eyes open to see the most beautiful man on the face of this earth. Auston Matthews, sometimes I forget Im dating him, sometimes I forget he tolerates me. But then I remember how wonderful he is to me, and it all makes sense.

"Good morning beautiful." He mumbled on my lips, kissing me once more as I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck.

"You're back!" I exclaimed quietly into his neck, it felt like he'd been away forever on his road trip and I missed him beyond words.

"I am." He smiled

"So, can I get the grand tour?" He chuckled, referring to the new apartment of course. This was his first time seeing it in person.

"Sure thing!" I winked at him playfully and rolled out of bed, only wearing a bralette and shorts.

I lead him around the house as if I were a tour guide in a museum, I was trying to be funny and it worked, Auston was laughing the entire time.

When we arrived back into my room he pulled me in for another hug and a kiss.

"God do I ever love you (Y/N)." He said, his lips barely brushing over mine.

"It's been a while since we've spent some quality time together." I smirked at him, and he got the idea completely. Scooping me up off the ground, I wrapped my legs around his waist as he seductively kissed my lips and neck, making small moans escape my lips.

Laying me down on the bed, I'm sure you can imagine what we did next, and the way it felt was amazing. Like our bodies were made for each other.

"I would like to take my beautiful girl on a date tonight. Be ready for 8pm." Auston cheekily demanded as he left my room. He was going back to his apartment to get settled back in after the long road trip, I didn't blame him, I'm sure he was exhausted.

I got into the shower, taking an extremely long time for no specific reason. I felt like my body needed it though. After getting out, blow drying and curling my long brown locks, I applied makeup and started picking out an outfit. I wasn't sure if it was going to be a dressy date or a casual one, so I decided to wear high waisted black jeans with an oversized navy blue and white striped button down with black velvet flats and some simple silver jewelry, so that way I was somewhat dressed up but not over dressed or underdressed.

Steph barged into my room suddenly, scaring the living daylights out of me.

"(Y/N), we need to talk. Now." She said, seeming to be in a bad mood.

I nodded my head and sat down on my bed, and waited for her to join beside me.

"I don't even know how to say this, and you promise you can't get mad." She said nervously, looking me in the eyes.

"Okay...?"

"It's about Auston." She said solemnly.

"Steph tell me what the hell is going on." I demanded, trying not to snap at her.

"Mitch said he might be cheating again!"

The feeling that came over me next was indescribable, my stomach dropped, my heart sunk, it felt like the world around me slowed down. It was like I had tunnel vision, my senses were blurred. I was thrown into some kind of blind rage, but I wasn't raging, I was incredibly calm.

"Okay." I said quietly, trying not to shatter what was left of me.

I sat there in some kind of weird trance, silenced from the world. My mind was running a million miles a minute.

Me
"I need to talk to you."

Marns
"I will be right over."

When Mitch got to our place, Steph led him into my room and then left, leaving just Mitch and I. He sat on the edge of my bed as I sat at the headboard, staring at the back of his head.

"I need details." I said, I couldn't compose full sentences, I felt like I was dying.

"When we were away, this girl, Jordyn, was with us. He said she's someone from back home, and that they're just friends. But he and I had rooms right beside each other, and the sounds coming from his room, they weren't something you'd want to hear (Y/N). And it was Jordyn in there with him."

By the time he was finished talking, I was bawling my eyes out, and he was by my side, holding me, trying to calm me down. Instead of letting him, I pushed him off and started running. I ran out of the apartment, and down the stairs, hearing faint calls of my name in the distance, Mitch and Steph calling after me. But I wasn't turning back, I needed to be away from everyone. So I just kept running until I was out of breath, and out of sight. It was already almost dark in Toronto, so for the night it would be easy to hide. I just wasn't sure where I would go.
