I meant what are you doing here?”
“We need to use X’s facilities here,” explained Sid.
“Oh, I thought it was something to do with me.”
“What do you mean?” queried Arthur.
“Never mind.” Darby pressed a button and a book case opened. Standing up he put his hand out towards the door, “This way gentlemen.”
They walked down the steps into a cellar not linked to the other cellars of Government House. Within the cellar the X-men prepped and restored spy equipment for the whole of the Asian continent.
(“You can’t use X-men,” whispered Arthur to the Author, “that is owned by Marvel or somebody. Use a different word.”.)
X’s men looked at the Governor, Sid and Arthur. “So you’re here then double Ha 7?” said the X’s man nearest the door. “My name’s Carstairs this is Croploft. We’re X’s men in Asia.”
“So you knew they were coming then?” asked Governor Darby.
“We got a call from TCHQ about an hour ago. We didn’t tell you because you were getting stressed about the tea party,” replied Carstairs.
“Are you related to the ranch owner in the fifth book?” inquired Sid.
“I don’t think so,” replied Carstairs, “I just think I’ve been employed so that the Author can do the Carstairs joke he made up but forgot to use in ‘The Detective One’.”
“Which one was that?” asked Arthur.
“Hang on,” said Sid, “I’ll look it up on my handheld PC.” Sid started to look at the library on his hand held PC.
