“What’s the weather like in Varangia?” Croploft asked Arthur.
“Freezing.”
“Did you make sure you used long johns?”
“Eventually.”
Sid found the passage, “Here it is. I can’t see where he was going to use that joke though.”
The Author spoke, “Sid, you were supposed to say something like ‘You know that people’s surnames denote the jobs their ancestors had’.”
Sid looked into the air, “Ya da ya da a da… their ancestors had.”
Arthur caught on, “Yes?”
Then Sid caught on, “Oh, so when did your family start furnishing cars with stairs?” he asked Carstairs.
“Very droll, Sid is it?” blinked Carstairs.
“Well that fell a bit flat, maybe that is why the Author did not use it in book five,” noted Arthur as the Author finished chapter five.
