Chapter Twenty One; Playing Spy
Tyler Knightley
Jessica and I exchanged shocked glances. Since when did Oliver care about Ginnie? I have no freaking clue what any of this is about... He knows I like Ginnie! Olivia probably set us up, she was probably jealous that I liked Ginnie. I turned back to the now silent circle -all of which were staring at me like I was about to blow- well, they were damn right. "What the hell is this?!?" I exclaimed accusingly.
"Woah, calm down! It's not out fault that she's so sensitive," Olivia protested.
"You set this up, didnt you?! I fumed at her.
"Bro, calm down," Tanner placed a hand on my shoulder.
I snapped my head around to glare at him. Then I shrugged out of his hold and sprinted for the door. Where were they?!? I arrived outside and saw Oliver jogging up the hill. As quietly as I could, I followed him up. When he got to the top I flattened out on the ground, perfectly out of sight but I could still hear what they were saying.
"Beautiful night, eh?" Oliver spoke and I almost gagged.
"Tyler, look, you don't need to feel sorry for me. I get it, okay? You like Olivia and I just need to acce-" Ginnie started ranting until Oliver cut her off. She thinks I like Olivia? Well, I guess I can't blame her after what she just saw...
"Good thing I'm not Tyler," Oliver said.
I scoffed. Yah, good thing.
"Here to join my pity party?" Ginnie asked.
Good, don't give in too easily. "Sure, seems a lot cooler than what's going on down there," Oliver's voice became farther away.
I looked and saw that now he had sat next to her. Move away before I kill him, Ginnie.
"What about Jessica?" She questioned.
Good question. "I-I don't think she likes me that much," he sulked.
Oh my god!
What.
A.
Fake.
I don't know what he's trying to get at but he's tricking Ginnie. "Oh nonsense, how could she not like you?" Ginnie comforted.
Ginnie, he doesn't deserve your comfort. He has an angle here... "So... Care to tell my why you're up here all alone?" He asked.
Silence. "C'mon, Gin.." I heard her giggle "don't make me take out the big guns."
Wait... Is he gonna tickle her?!? Oh, I swear to God- she's giggling again?!? "Oh, now you're asking for it!" Oliver declared.
I looked over and saw him tickling her. She kept laughing. When I was about to rip out all of my hair, Ginnie exclaimed "Fine! Fine! You win!"
Finally, he's gonna take his hands off my girl. "That's my girl!" Oliver said.
His girl?!? No. No, no, no, no. Uh uh. "Oh crap! Right, um, here!" Oliver fumbled.
I looked up again and he was placing his sweater over her shoulders. How sweet, my mind mocked.
She can't really be falling for this crap, can she? "So, ready to talk about it?" he asked again.
"Ok, fine. Everybody said Tyler was gonna ask me out, and I got really excited and I even got dressed up and everything but then I walked outside and there he was, kissing Olivia," she laughed "and now I'm pouring my heart out to you and you probably think that I'm crazy!" she sobbed.
Wait.. What?!?! Ginnie liked me?!? Oh wow, this is amazing! Alright Oliver, back me up here. "Shhh," He cooed.
... Seriously? I perched on my elbows to watch. His arms were around her and he was... He was rubbing her back! Oliver!
She was crying into his chest! "Yah, you know I love Tyler but sometimes he can be a real ass," Oliver declared.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!!?!??? "He'd be lucky to have you," he concluded.
Wait....did Oliver like Ginnie? Oh boy....
