Chapter Thirty Eight; See You Around I Guess

"Hey, bro, remember the day we met?" Tyler nudged me.
I laughed. "Yah, and that big, old slide."
He didn't laugh though. He jut kept staring ahead. "You gonna talk to Jessica?" He asked.
"Yah...no... Well yah, just not right now though."
"When?"
"Will you two shut up? I bet she can hear you from over there!" Tanner hissed.
I lookd over and she was busy talking animatedly to Ginnie. Ya know, after last night, I realized that I don't really think I like Ginnie after all. I mean, she's cool but her and Tyler are kinda perfect. "Students! Students, we're back!" Ms. Bates shouted.
After five minutes, the bus stopped and everyone shuffled off the bus and headed to grab their stuff. I felt somebody tap my shoulder, and turned around to find.... Jessica. "Can we talk?" She asked.
I nodded. She turned around and started walking over to an area with less people. I followed. "Jess-"
"No, me first. You're a great guy, and it was fun for like five minutes, but I think we should break up."
Oh. "Oh," I repeated my thoughts aloud.
She nodded. "Um, okay," I awkwardly cleared my throat.
"See you around I guess," she stood on her tip toes and softly placed a kiss on my cheek.
Then she pulled back, flushing bright red, and scurried away back into the crowd.... But I didn't want her to go. And that was when it dawned on me, that I'm in love with Jessica Andrews.
