Chapter Four; Some Ben and Jerry's and A Piping Hot Plate Full Of Gossip.

Ginnie Matthews

I had spent the rest of the day avoiding him. Avoiding his cute half smile, avoiding his tall framed figure. Right now, I was packing up for a sleepover with Jessica and our other best friend, Paige. This is exactly what I needed. Some Ben and Jerry's and a piping hot plate full of gossip.

When I got there, both girls were already sprawled across Jessica's bed with laptops and magazines. I jumped onto the bed causing all of us to bounce and start laughing. I looked onto Jessica's computer. "What's that?" I asked, referring to the game currently flashing on her screen.

"I found a cheesy online computer game and me and Paige made accounts to terrorize little children," Jessica's smile was so big.

You see, this is exactly why I loved these girls so much. "Well, don't count me out on the fun!" I exclaimed, pulling out my laptop and typing up the name of the website.

We pretty much did this for the next three hours until about nine o'clock. Then we broke out two tubs of ice cream, three big spoons, and dug in. We all settled on Jessica's couch with a pile of blankets.

"Hey, who wants to play Truth or Dare?" Paige asked, grinning in excitement.

They both looked at me. "Sure, why not?" I said.

Paige squealed. "Let me go first!" she insisted.

"Kay', Paige, truth or dare?" Jessica asked.

"Truth!"

"Who do you have a crush on?"

"Nobody!" Paige stated.

"We all know that's a lie," I taunted.

"Fine," Paige said "I have a crush on... Tyler."

"What?!" I screamed.

Paige and Jessica broke out into laughter. Paige put her arms in the air as if surrendering. "I'm just kidding, Gin, I didn't know you liked him so much."

"I don't!" I insisted.

This brought on another wave of laughter.

"What's so funny?" I demanded.

"You're just getting so... so defensive." Paige teased.

"Well, I mean today, he kissed me..." I tucked a stray lock of hair behind my ear.

"What?!?" Jessica gasped. "You kissed him?"

"No, he kissed me," I tried to explain.

"What's the difference?" Paige asked.

"The difference is I pushed him away."

"WHY! Have I taught you nothing?" Jessica shook her head.

"I got mad. It wasn't okay that he kissed me without my permission. Just drop it, alright?"

Both girls nodded their heads.
