Chapter Thirty Four; My Not-So-Fabulous Ninja Skills
Ginnie Matthews
When I woke up, believe me, it was not my choice. I could have probably slept in forever, that seriously felt like the night that would NEVER end. But no, I woke up to my sheets being pulled away from over me -I kid you not- and Jessica is lucky she moved away quickly because my fist darted out to greet her within moments. "What do you want?" I groaned.
"Ooh, feisty! What's gotten your panties in a twist?" She teased.
"Ugh, go away," I pleaded.
But sadly, my begging only encouraged her to further annoy me. "What's wrong, you big old grump!" She nudged me.
I threw a pillow at her, but of course, she annoyingly maneuvered around my not-so- fabulous ninja skills. Can I get a freaking break?!? Now, both my pillow and my blanket were gone. With one fatal attempt, I summoned up a convincing pout and whimper to see if she might feel bad for me, but when I looked up I saw her smirking at me. "Fine," I pouted and reluctantly got out of bed.
"Good morning, sweet cheeks!" Jessica chanted.
For the first time since the beginning of this encounter, I gave her a thorough once-over. Not a strand of hair out of place, not a single zit on her face... In other words, she was glowing. This just made me groan once again out of frustration. "How do you look so perfect in the mornings?" I rubbed my eyes to make sure they weren't playing tricks on me.
She giggled. "C'mon, I let you sleep in long enough! We need to go!"
"Go where?" Nothing was making sense to me at this point.
"Home, dumbo!"
I mentally slapped myself for forgetting. "Alright, lemme get dressed."
"'Kay!"

After getting ready and making sure I had all of my stuff, Jessica and I ran to meet Emily and Annie standing by the bus. We hadn't seen Paige since the fight, but I think that maybe we can work things out with her? I wanna be the bigger person, but I just don't get why she's being so difficult! As we lined up for the bus, I saw Bailey standing alone at the back of the line. I motioned towards her to Jessica, who nodded. As we started to approach, I started thinking about who her best friend is. I mean, sure, we're all friends with her but I don't remmeber her having any BEST FRIENDS. That must be really hard, having no best friends, that is. "Hey, Bailey!" I smiled as we became within speaking distance with her.
She glanced over us and I saw a smile take over her features. "Hey Ginnie! Hey Jessica!"
"What's up?" I asked, popping the 'p'.
She glanced around nervously. "Well, I was looking to sit with Tanner on the bus but I saw him getting in line with Oliver and Tyler."
"Really?" I asked.
"Yah, why?" She asked.
"Nothing, they were just acting a bit weird towards eachother last night."
"Oh, okay."
Awkward silence. We all looked around, trying not to make eye content. Say something, Ginnie. "So, do you have anybody else to sit with on the bus?" I asked.
"No, I don't think so," she blushed "but it's okay, I mean I really don't mind not having anybody to sit with, it's just that I always-"
"Would you like to sit with me and Jessica?" I cut off her babbling.
"Really? Sure!" She agreed.
"Cool," Jessica acknowledged.
"Wait, what about Paige?" Bailey questioned.
"I think she's sitting with somebody else... Oh my god," Jessica groaned and motioned her head to the left.
"Is that Paige?!" Bailey gasped.
And, it was. There strode Paige, in all her glory, alongside nobody other than Olivia and Denise. Well, not exactly alongside. Olivia stood slightly in front of the other two, and held her chin just a tad higher. "Is she wearing make up?" Jessica frowned.
"I fear she is," I sighed.
"Whose clothes are those?" Bailey exclaimed.
Oh my..ew. She was wearing Denise's clothes. This is absolutely horrifying. Can somebody please explains to me how this happened? "She's too cool for us now, that's how," Jessica mocked, and I realized that I had spoken my thoughts aloud.
