Chapter Thirty Three; Spit it out

Tyler Knightley

Two Almost Kisses. This means a lot to a girl, right? Well, even if it doesn't, it sure means a hell of a lot to me because Ginnie Matthews was actually willing to give me a chance. Now, I just need to talk to Oliver. I mean, I dunno what I'm gonna do about him, and I don't understand what the heck is going on with him and Jessica. There are so many love triangles between me, Ginnie, Oliver, Jessica, Olivia, Tanner and Bailey.....then there's Denise. Ha! She's in love with herself. I strolled over to our cabin and saw Oliver sitting on his bed, his head resting in his palms, elbows on his knees. Um... Is he crying? I creeped closer. Nope, after further investigation I came to the conclusion that he was just listening to music. I sat down on the bed across from him. "Oliver?" He doesn't hear me.

"Oliver?" I raised my voice.

Nothing. I reached forward and took out his earbuds. They came completely into my hands and I realized he didn't even have anything connected to them. "Seriously?" I groaned.

He smiled shyly, "sorry?"

We both averted our gazes down to our shoes and sat there silently. "We need to talk, right?" I finally asked him.

"Erm, right," he nodded.

"Look, man, I'm sorry I went up there with Ginnie and was rude to you and Jessica. I mean, really, really sorry, I don't know what got into me," he admitted and then hung his head in shame.

"I just have one question: why?" I breathed.

He scratched at the back of his head. "Can I feed you a lie?" He sighed.

"No!"

"I really don't wanna say it out loud."

"C'mon, we've been best friends since Kindergarten, you can tell me anything."

"Well, I like Ginnie," he bluntly stated.

"For how long?" I asked.

I can't believe he actually admitted to it. This is good. He got up and started pacing. I dunno, like, always? That's why I always kinda teased you about her and stuff, but I know I was stupid not to tell you guys so I'll back off of her," he ran a hand through his hair.

"Wait.. What about Jessica?" I asked.

"Please don't make me continue," he looked at me with pleading eyes.

"Spit it out," I pushed.

"Fine! I just... I dunno... I wanted to get Ginne and I thought if I was dating Jess I would be around Ginnie more."

"Dude! That is NOT COOL! You have to tell Jessica!" I commanded.

"No, please, I'll tell her, just gimme some time."

"She's such a great girl! You can't play with girls like that, you know how sensitive the can be!"

"I know! It was stupid, okay?! I'll tell her, I swear it!"

I sighed. "Fine, but you better tell her soon or I will."

"I know."

Silence. "Wait, were you ever planning on telling me you liked Ginnie?"

"Of course."

"When?"

"... When we were dating?"

"Ah, c'mon! Seriously?"

"Sorry."

"Did you plan out that whole game of truth or dare?"

"Kinda."

"Actually?!" I was preparing myself to hit him.

He deserved it, right? "Calm down, I won't try anything like that again."

"To hell you won't! Was Olivia in on it too?" I barked.

"No I promise she's innocent," then he smirked "well, not exactly INNOCENT but she wasn't in on it."

"Alright, well Ginnie and I almost kissed tonight," he looked over at me with wide eyes "twice," I added as an afterthought.

"Okay."

I chuckled. "Is it okay?"

"Yah man, I gotta girlfriend, remember?" He nudged me and smiled.

I smiled back "not for long."
