Despite Troy's attempt at friendly words Romeo couldn't help but scowl at the other teen boy when no one was looking. Romeo didn't like how easily Troy could talk to Julie.
"As much as I want to get this book because it's awesome there's one thing I want more." Troy told to Juliet. It wasn't like Romeo was eavesdropping or anything. He just so happened to be close by.
"Oh yeah? And what is that?" Julie wondered.
"Your number." Troy sent a subtle wink in Julie's direction. She laughed. "I'm serious, Julie. We're friends, aren't we? I have no way to talk to you out side of school."
Romeo knew in seconds that it was a pick up line. He scowled some more. Didn't Julie realize that Troy was a tool? Why was she laughing? She always told him off when he used to use pickup lines.
"You know I was just thinking, Julie. You're so pretty and yet, that is the least interesting thing about you." Romeo winked. Julie's face turned a bright scarlet. If Troy wanted to play his game he was going to have to step up his moves.
"Er..." Julie didn't know how to respond.
Troy took a step closer, glaring at Romeo. "Well, personally I think Julie needs a signature. All masterpieces have one."
Julie winced at the amount of sheer awkwardness. "Well that is why we're here. To get a signature." She faked a grin as she began to creep out of the space between the two boys.
"When I'm older looking back at all of my finest memories, and I'll think of the day my children were born, the day I got married, and the day that I met Juliet Hunter." Romeo stated, scowling intensely at Troy. Neither realized how Julie was creeping away from both of them.
"Are they flirting with each other by using Julie or flirting with Julie by using each other?" Ivy wondered, teasingly as Julie leaned against the wall next to her. Anthony had his arm wrapped around the red haired girl. He laughed.
"Yeah I'm not sure if they want to kiss Cinderella or each other." He replied.
"That was getting intense- and weird- rather fast." Julie admitted.
"Did you know when you sneeze your heart stops for a split second. That's exactly what happens when I think of Julie."
"Julie makes you sneeze? That's so weird, Paris!" Their voices were growing louder and louder unbeknownst to them.
"That's not what I meant- I hate you, Cameron."
"Well, good! I hate you too!"
"Just kiss already!" A certain gamer guy shouted. Romeo and Troy whipped their heads around to glare at Eric. He grinned sheepishly. Juliet doubled over in laughter.
Troy and Romeo didn't talk to each other or even look at each other for the rest of the night. They continued to wear scowls on their faces, but they didn't dare look at the other.
Hatred is a hard thing to get over sometimes.
