"Hey, Julie," Romeo caught up to his girlfriend in the hallway. She grinned at him.
"Hi, Cameron." She held out her hand so they could walk, linked together.
"Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I'll give it back." Romeo joked. Julie rolled her eyes.
Stopping at the edge of the hallway, she stood on the tips of her toes and planted a soft kiss on his lips. Instantly, Romeo broke out smiling.
They had been dating for a month. Their first kissing session in the hallway had gotten them in some trouble for PDA, but it had resolved itself. All their friends were ecstatic that the two had finally started dating, only to realize later that the two as an affection couple might be a bit annoying. But they weren't that bad and over all everyone was happy.
Rosie was pretty happy for the two of them, making comments about how cute they were with Emily and Alicia.
Anna found it weird that it had taken them so long. She had said, "If this was a romance novel you guys would have gotten together chapters ago!" Then she started to mumble something about 'a great story idea.'
Eric was the most annoyed with their public displays of affection despite the fact that he tried to make out with his girlfriend at every opportunity. He was happy for the two of them though.
Mark was glad the two had finally gotten together. He had been calling it since before the dance. Mark himself was in a new relationship with the recently outed Sean Draper.
Anthony and Ivy were the ones who were the most ecstatic. Anthony was glad that Ivy hadn't caused too much trouble and Ivy was glad that she one part of the school bet about those two and that her plan had worked.
Nick congratulated the two and made sure everyone in Romeo's family knew that the kid had finally got a girlfriend, which of course caused Romeo to groan at the embarrassment.
The two students walked to class hand in hand, grinning at each other. They were now that couple. The ones who couldn't help showing affection as often as they could and were almost annoyingly perfect.
Romeo gave his girlfriend a peck on the cheek, which he had to lean down for. Their hands broke apart and she followed him inside the classroom.
It was of course fourth period. That class was their favorite, besides culinary arts. That was the class where everything happened in.
Juliet slid into her desk, ready to pay attention. It wasn't like she didn't want to flirt with her boyfriend of a month, she did, but she still cared about being a good student. She'd given Mr. Harvey enough trouble.
Sure enough a folded note landed on her desk. Her eyes rolled. She opened it anyway.
Date night this weekend?
Julie scribbled back an answer.
Shouldn't you be paying attention to Mr. Harvey? And yes double date actually.
Double date? With Anthony and Collins?
Yes.
Can't we hang out with someone more normal? Like Eric and Emily or Mark and Sean?
You're kidding right? Anthony is your best friend!
Of course I'm kidding! But Ivy kind of scares me.
She tends to have that affect on people.
So... Did I ever mention how beautiful you are?
What do you want?
Nothing! I'm just compliment my girlfriend!
You have plenty of time to do that outside of class.
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Juliet grinned reading that. She shook her head.
You're such a dork.
Yeah but I'm your dork.
Yes you are and you better not forget it.
I won't.
Well anyway I've got a line for you.
Oh yeah? Let's hear it, beautiful.
You make me blush when you say stuff like that!
I see that. Red is a good color on you.
Oh hush up! :)
Anyway I like your last name.
Is that your line? It needs work.
Can I have it?
I mean... I um...
Ha! Now you're the one blushing.
You really are the perfect girl for me. I love you. :D
Aw, I love you too!
And to answer your question, someday you can. ;)
