🌗Chapter 14🌗

~nearly a month later~

I sat on my bed late that night texting Josh. Tomorrow would be a month since that night in the park and the lemon haired boy and I had grown closer to one another. We hung out as much as possible whether it be me watching him drum or him coming to work with me, or just chilling at one of our houses enjoying each other's company while we scrolled through our feeds. I wanted him to come with me eventually to help decorate my house a little better.

We called ourselves the same thing, friends, close friends, something that I wished we could change but was too anxious to ask about and I liked our friendship as it was I didn't want to ruin it. We were the types of friends that would snuggle and it wouldn't be awkward, we kiss each other goodbye but that's about it, and we can't get off of each other when we're alone, but in public you'd just see us as good friends, and that's okay with me if it was okay with him. You could call it skinny love I guess, there was something there and neither of us wanted to admit it fully to each other, and that's okay because I liked it.

Jinx had grown quite a bit and was sitting on my stomach curled up in a ball and purring away as she slept. My phone vibrated on my chest and I picked it up to look at it to see josh texted me and I continued our conversation about random garbage.

Joshie 💛: like this one says, "round is a shape, so I'm in shape" and it's the best thing ever.

Me: lol wait that website actually exists let me see it.

Joshie 💛: yeah, you wont regret it.

Me: I'll probably get sucked in and you'll never hear from me again

Joshie 💛: that's what happened to me.

Me: Hey hey hey Josh guess what

Joshie 💛: what?

Me: tomorrow is our one month friend-iversary 😊

Joshie 💛: how did I forget that?

~Josh's P.O.V.~

I hadn't realized it had been a month since I brought y/n home. I'd grown more attached to them every day we hung out.

(y/n) 💙: Yeah, it's gone by fast

Me: im taking you out tomorrow

y/n 💙: Awe Josh you don't have to do that

Me: yes I do and you aren't gonna stop me.

y/n 💙: Fine, where are we going then.

Me: not telling, it's a surprise, dress casual

y/n 💙: You're no fun, just tell me where we're going

Me: oh I am too fun that's why it's a surprise.

I plugged my phone in the charger and got up from my bed to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth while I figured out what to do with y/n. one thing was certain, I was going to ask them to be my boy/girlfriend. I just needed to figure out how and where and when and what and everything. Oh gosh now what do I do.

I call for Spooky and the large cat thumps up the stairs and into my room then jump on my bed.

"Spook what should I do," I asked him and he purred at me, staring at me with a content look on his face as his fluffy tail flicked around on my bed.

I walked out of the bathroom and checked my watch, 10:30, I have time to get to the store.

"I have an idea, I'll go to the woods that are behind the park and decorate the secluded spot in it that tyler always goes to to cool off, do you get where I'm taking this Spook?" I continued and he meowed. I laughed and grabbed my phone again, sitting down next to where it was plugged in and sat down to make the list of things I needed to pick up tonight.

short but sweet, i have a few short chapters. i don't have homework tonight so I'm just gonna write a bunch so look forward to that.
