Hey everyone! Here is another update :) I don't know about you guys but I died at least ten times this morning when I listened to Harry's new album. It's bloody brilliant! We have had two pretty exciting weeks with Niall's single and Harry's album out! I think it's two very different music styles but I loved them both! I am very proud of how great the boys are doing :)
Anyway here is the next chapter, I hope you all enjoy it! Thanks for reading!!
Over the next week I didn't get to see Louis once. Even though we talked on the phone once or twice a day I found myself missing his cheerful company every now and then. University was keeping me and Lucy on track and on Friday afternoon we found ourselves complaining about the lack of social activity. "You know, I really enjoy your company" said Lucy with a mouthful of couscous when we were sitting together for a late lunch. "But I'm starting to feel like we're some sort of old married couple with no contact to the outside world." I chewed on my salad and shrugged. "Old married couples don't have to work as much as we do though!" I pointed out and Lucy grimaced.
"I know, I hate it!" She whined. "And to make it even worse, I'm starting to get a little horny! I haven't flirted with a cute guy in so long and today I totally hit on the bus driver!" I choked on my food and quickly reached for my drink. Lucy looked at me sulkily. "Are you laughing at me?" She asked me in a defiant tone. I quickly shook my head and gave her an innocent smile. "I'm not laughing at you, Lu, I am laughing with you." I said in a sweet voice, trying to emphasize the difference. Lucy raised her eyebrows and glared at me. "Do you see me laughing?"
Biting down a grin I raised my hands in surrender. "I'm sorry, honey! I really am taking you serious." I said reassuringly. Lucy picked at her food. "It's easy for you to say. You and Louis are flirting non-stop!" She said and looked at her plate. I laughed. "Louis and I aren't flirting! We're just friends!" Lucy snorted. "Yeah right!" I sighed. "Lu, honestly, there is nothing going on between me and Louis." When Lucy continued to look unconvinced I just rolled my eyes. "Look, even if I was interested in Louis, he doesn't like me that way so can you please just let it go?" I asked her bitterly.
Lucy opened her mouth to argue but I cut her off by raising my hand. "You said you're horny, you said you need guys. There are four really nice and gorgeous young men I met the other day and I'm sure I could introduce them to you." I said and an evil grin crept on my face. Lucy didn't take longer than a second to get who was talking of. "Keep dreaming, honey!" She said and laughed. "I am desperate, but it's not that bad yet." "It was worth a shot." I said with a pout. "You will meet them eventually, I'll make sure of that!" I added threateningly.
The rest of the afternoon I spent studying once again even though all I wanted to do was to forget the day at uni. After my second lecture one of my teachers had called me into his office telling me that if I wanted to pass my exams, I'd have to work even harder. He told me the same thing I've kept hearing from my teachers for years: 'You are a very intelligent girl and you seem to keep up better than most students but every time you hand in an important paper or write an exam it is completely off topic.'
It didn't matter how hard I worked or how many hours I spent revising, in the end there was always a part of my brain that shut down completely when I needed it the most. Sighing, I closed my text book and leaned back in my chair. This was going to be a long day.
When I got home from work on the next day Lucy tore open the door as soon as the rustling of my keys could be heard from outside. Perplexed I looked up into her beaming face, the key still in my hand only inches away from where the keyhole usually was. "I did it, I did it, I did it!!" Lucy squealed and hopped about while I stared at her in confusion. I cleared my throat. "Uhm, that's awesome, Lu, but what exactly is it that you did?" I asked still slightly confused.
