Hey lovelies, I finally managed to finish the new chapter! It took me a little longer than usual, I'm sorry but Uni and life have kept me pretty busy lately. So much has happened in these two weeks One Direction wise, I don't even know where to start. First Louis with his beautiful song for his fans 'Just Like You' and now Liam's new single 'Bedroom Floor' on the same day as Niall's freaking first album?! People, we are blessed. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the next chapter! I'm feeling a little under the weather at the moment so please forgive me any grammar/spelling mistakes.
And yeah, I have no idea how I stumbled upon that Gif but I kinda had to put it in here. I laughed so hard when I first saw it.
Lots of love, as always,
Melody
Louis led me out of the house and to his car. "Milady." He said and opened the car door for me. "Why thank you, Sir!" I replied and took his hand as I gracefully climbed into his car. Louis sent me a mischievous grin before shutting the car door. As soon as the door closed, I let out a breath I hadn't even noticed I was holding. With slightly shaky hands, I pulled down the sun visor and regarded my appearance in the little mirror. 'Wear something causal.' Lucy's voice echoed in my head as I had asked her what to wear for my date with Louis. I ran a hand through my hair, trying to fix up my messy curls. "Define causal." I muttered and closed the sun visor with one last annoyed look into the mirror.
"Talking to yourself, are you now?" Louis' voice made me jump and I shot him a glare as he dropped onto the driver's seat next to me. "Yes, I find myself to be an excellent conversationalist." I shrugged and looked down at my folded hands, which were moving nervously. "I bet you do." Louis grinned and I snorted. "If this is your idea of how to treat a girl on your first date, I am very curios how you managed to ever get laid." Louis leaned his head back and pretended to think. "I'm pretty sure it has to do with my simple awesomeness." He said in a serious tone and gave me a smug look. I looked back unimpressed. "Yeah, your awesomeness combined with your high amount of modesty is definitely hard to resist." I stated dryly and Louis grinned. "I'm so glad you see it too."
Louis started the car and carefully pulled out of the car park. I had noticed that he was driving extra careful when I was in the car ever since I had told him about my brother's accident and I adored him for it. "So where are we going?" I asked curiously but Louis chuckled. "You didn't actually think you'd get an answer to that question, did you?" He said and steered the car down the road. Letting out a frustrated groan, I crossed my arms. "It was worth a shot." Louis' left hand wandered from the steering wheel down to his radio. "You know the whole point of a surprise first date is that the person who is taken on a date doesn't know what to expect, ergo the surprise effect." He said while playing with the radio knob. "Oh has Mister Smartass swallowed a dictionary?" I shot back and Louis shook his head. "Charming as usual, love."
Soft music filled the car and I bit back a smile when I saw Louis' fingers drumming on the steering wheel in the rhythm of the song. We drove in comfortable silence for a while, enjoying the music and each other's company. I watched the landscape fly past the car window as we sped down the motorway, the tall buildings of London slowly disappearing behind us. Happiness filled me as green hills replaced the grey industrial sight of urban London and I felt a smile flash across my face. As much as I loved London, I always enjoyed getting out of the big city into the nature. I tore my eyes away from the green landscape and caught myself staring at Louis whose blue eyes were fixed on the road, a little line of concentration on his forehead.
It wasn't long before Louis' voice broke the silence. "Love, I can feel you staring at me." I blushed a little but didn't look away. "I'm sorry." I said sheepishly but Louis smiled. "Don't be." We fell silent again and I smiled to myself as I stared at Louis' beautiful profile. After a short while, I forced myself to tear my eyes away from him. Timidly, I brushed a strand of hair out of his eyes before settling back on my seat, enjoying the view of deep green meadows flying past us. I let out a deep, happy sigh, snuggling deeper into the seat. "What are you thinking, Abby?" Louis asked me and I slowly turned my head to look at him. "I'm thinking..." I said with a smile. "I'm thinking how incredibly happy I am with my life right now." Louis gave me a short look before focussing back on the road. "Me too." He said quietly and my smile deepened.
