Hey everyone, the next chapter is up! To be honest, I am not too happy with it and it's a bit of a filler but I hope you like it nonetheless! My concentration at the moment is very non-existent but I gave it my best. I promise that the next chapter is going to be better!
Also ot3 reunion at the IHeart :)
All the best,
MelodyLouis POV:
The fly which had been annoying me for most of last night returned to the little kitchen of our tour bus and flew another extra circle around my head, just to piss me off completely. "Oh fuck off!" I muttered and waved my hand at the insect impatiently which only continued to circle around my head until it suddenly lost interest in me and crashed into the window instead. I smirked. "Karma can be a bitch, am I right?" I threw one last glance at the dazed fly and grabbed my plate of sandwiches, a bottle of coke clamped underneath my arm.
As I made my way over to the seating area, I lazily kicked away a few clothes lying on the floor. With a happy sigh, I flopped onto the couch and reached for my little notebook which contained the latest version of our final song of the album. My fingers traced the lines of the melody and I quietly hummed to myself, the familiar pride filling my chest when I looked at the finished work. After so many months of writing, recording and taking songs apart I finally felt like we had reached a point where our album was close to perfect.
When I turned over the page, I smiled when I saw one of the other songs which didn't make it onto the album. Although the four of us and our writing team had decided not to include this song onto the album, just like many other of our songs, this song would always hold a special place in my heart. The idea for the song had come to my mind only a couple of weeks ago and although the whole writing process had seemed a little rushed, I was completely in love with the song's concept. One day, I promised myself, one day I would play the song to the person who inspired me to write it.
A loud knock on the door made me jump and I quickly shut the notebook. "Tommo, are you up?" Liam's voice sounded and I rolled my eyes. "Well, pal, if I hadn't been up already, I'd definitely would be awake now!" Sometimes it could be a little annoying to be the only one to sleep on the tour bus, as the other boys were bound to come in sometime in the morning. Liam's voice was replaced by Niall's. "Are you decent?" I snorted into the bottle of coke I had been drinking and started coughing violently.
The door to the bus opened and three faces grinned at me. When I still continued to hack like a maniac, Harry smacked Niall in the head. "Great, now look what you made him do." "It is a fair question though, do you remember what happened in Philadelphia?" Niall said and crossed his arms. Liam chuckled and walked over to me, patting my back. "You alright there, Tommo?" He grinned but there was concern showing in his eyes. "Fine" I wheezed and waved him off.
While I was still trying to catch my breath, Niall closed the door behind him and Harry, throwing a critical look at the room. "Jesus, Lou, you know we love you buddy but this place is a fucking mess." He said, the accusing undertone in his voice didn't go unnoticed by me. "Which is why you sleep in fancy five-star hotel while I enjoy my little junk hole." I retorted, earning a reproving look from Niall.
"So Lou, have you been informed about today's schedule?" Harry asked, trying to change the subject in order to prevent an argument between Niall and me. I tore my eyes away from Niall's face and let myself fall back against the cushions of our booth. "I have not but I am sure you are going to tell me now." I smirked at Harry who rolled his eyes and pulled his hair up into a bun. Liam grabbed the coke and began to unscrew the lid. "We're meeting with Julian and John to go through the album once more. I think there might be a couple of parts which we have to record one more time but I believe so far it's going pretty well."
