Hey everyone, I don't think 'Sorry for not updating' is appropriate after leaving you guys hanging for such a long time but I really am sorry. The last half year was incredibly busy for me and I never had the time to sit down and think about what I wanted to write.
Moreover, I had to deal with a breakup myself and it took me a while to get back into a stage where I was happy to write a nice, wee love story. So please apologise my lack of updates!
On a happier note, I recently started writing a new story which is called 'Plan B'. For those of you, who read my One-Shot a while back, it will continue to tell the story of Josie and Louis. For any of you haven't read it yet, the story can be found on my profile so feel free to look into it! Any thoughts on the new book will be greatly appreciated!
As always, thanks for reading my story and sticking with me even after my lousy update stats.
Lots of love,
Melody"Road trip!" Lucy's voice sang in my ear as she dropped onto the seat next to me, beaming with excitement. I chuckled and watched her put on her seatbelt. Lucy brushed her red hair out of her eyes and straightened up. "I can't wait to see my Nialler!" She said happily and clapped her hands together. I only smiled and set my Navman's destination to the Newcastle address that Louis had send me. Even though I was looking forward to seeing the boys again, I was more than nervous to see Louis again. After our fight on the phone two weeks ago we had made up and apologised to one another but it still felt like there was something between us.
"Hey, it'll be fine." Lucy said and gave me a little nudge, my worries seemed to display on my face. "Yeah, let's hope so." I quickly put on a smile. Lucy shot me a look. "Have you guys talked at all? Since... well, you know." She asked tentatively, knowing that I had not been keen on discussing Louis' and my fight with her. I nodded. "Yeah we have. It's fine, it'll be fine." Lucy was quiet for a moment, then "You know Niall and I have had our fights too! There were days when he only called me once and- " "Lu, really, we don't have to talk about it!" I quickly intervened, effectively shutting her up.
Lucy shrugged and turned up the volume of the radio. I grinned when Salt-N-Pepa's 'Let's Talk About Sex' came on and Lucy joined in enthusiastically, hitting less than every tenth note. Listening to Lucy's off-key singing, I looked out of the window, watching cars fly by. In a few hours, I would see Louis again. Would we actually have time to talk? The concert wasn't until tomorrow night but I knew that he was usually pretty busy with sound checks and god knows what. Absentmindedly, I reached into my bag and took a sip of water. "I miss sex." Lucy sighed when the song ended and I nearly chocked on my water.
"What?" Lucy complained and shrugged, her eyes still fixed on the road. "I haven't had sex in weeks, it's so hard being on your own." I chose not to comment on the matter as Lucy and I have always had very different approaches when it came to sex. Lucy, being the gorgeous, happy-go-luck redhead she was, always lived her single life to her fullest and was happy to have occasional one-night-stands to 'fulfil a women's needs' as she called it. Now that she was with Niall, she was even happier to concentrate all her love and womanly needs on one person. I, on the other hand, thought sex to be something meaningful and it took me a while to get to know people well enough to fully trust them.
"Have Louis and you done it yet?" Lucy's voice tore me away from my thoughts and I chuckled at her bluntness. I shook my head. "Not yet but there is more to a relationship than sex, you know." I teased her but she only shrugged. "Yes but it's a pretty good addition to the whole romance stuff." She said in a matter-of-fact voice. "Also you're taking over with driving in half an hour, okay?" She said and I shrugged. "We both know that I don't really get a say in that matter anyways so sure thing."
