After Prom
Eren waited outside patiently. Jean promised he would get the car and come back to pick him up, but Eren was beginning to think that Jean left without him.
He shouldn't have trusted Jean in the first place anyways.
"Kid, what are you doing here?" A voice asked from behind him.
Eren turned around. Levi slowly approached him while avoiding eye contact.
"I think my friend left me," Eren said. "Well technically not friend... or maybe we are... I'm still not really sure."
"What a good friend that is, then," Levi scoffed. "You should find better ones."
"Where?" Eren asked.
"I don't know, a store?" Levi replied sarcastically.
"I wish," Eren laughed slightly.
There was a slight pause in the conversation.
"What are you waiting for, Levi?" Eren asked.
"Nothing," Levi said.
"What do you mean?"
Levi looked at Eren for the first time in the conversation. There was something about the soft light of the stars and the moon on Eren's hair and eyes. It was doing things to him.
"You know what Eren?" Levi asked while looking away.
"What?"
"I think I like you," Levi stated casually.
"Well, thank you," Eren said, slightly surprised by how sudden the statement was. "I'll consider myself special then since I heard from Hanji that you hate pretty much everyon-"
