So
I've beeen obsessed with Hamilton for the last couple of weeks now and I learned the Lams ship maybe like two weeks in but I didn't start reading fanfic until like two days and can I just say oml love it.
I really love the idea of having them in college and shiz and it's cool, but as I read more and more, I'm discovering the same exact theme and recurring topics in most of them like
Alex never stops working
John's father is abusive
John has to pretend to be straight
One ends up in the hospital
One is insecure
One is an alcoholic
Alex doesn't know how to express his love
They get ENGAGED after knowing each other for literally a month
They're both emotionally unstable
They say they feel like they've known each other their whole lives (which is kinda cute tbh)
They can't 'go on' if the other one is away for vacation or something
And usually, when I read things and I find these recurring things, it's hard to read the fanfic cause then I know what to expect and I wanna be surprised, so usually, when that happens

I. Believe that love is slow and I feel like in some cases it can happen really quickly but I always feel like when I write my fanfics I always like to make them fall in love slowly or like they know they're in love but they don't really like say it and say it like way later on so, yeah they're going to be taking things a little bit slow like slower than how I seen most fanfics so yeah
