Since they started classes, it's January. Towards the middle so yeah
John's P.O.V
We started classes again a few days ago and even though it's been complete hell, I'm getting used to going to class almost every day.
Alexander bursts into the room during one of my naps, slamming the door against the wall and waking me up.
"Oh my gosh!" I exclaim. Alexander holds his chest, huffing and puffing. I raise an eyebrow at him and he just holds up a finger.
"Oh, this better be good if you're holding up a finger." I say. Alexander coughs and then regains his air.
"I...got...invited...to...Mr.Washingtons...dinner...woah those were a lot of stairs." He says.
"Dinner?"
"Mr.Washington does this thing where he hosts a dinner for the best students in all of his classes and I got an invite!" I don't have George Washington as one of my teachers, so I wouldn't know this.
"Oh my gosh, congratulations! That's my boyfriend."
"Yeah. It's this Friday and I get to have a plus one." He says, wiggling his eyebrow.
"Oh, so that means I get to go?"
"I didn't say you. I was thinking maybe Peggy or Hercules." I raise an eyebrow at him and he just laughs.
"Well, I don't like parties anyway." He walks over to the bed and kisses me.
"Of course it's gonna be you. So we need to go get suits or like fancy clothes or whatnot."
"Of course. We'll go after my last class."
"Which is in?" I look at my phone.
"3 minutes?" I say. Alex widens his eyes and grabs my arm and pulls me off the bed.
"Get to class." I groan before grabbing his shirt and kissing him. He slaps my butt when I pull away.
"Class."

"Are all suits this expensive?" I say, scanning the suits and looking at the price tags. My eyes widen when I see one that costs $200. "Jeez."
"I know. But it's nice to have one or two for occasions like these. Since you rarely wear them, it'll be in good condition and they only come out when it's important." Alex says, coming up behind me and kissing my neck. He wraps his arms around my waist and I lean back, resting my head on his shoulder.
"Would it be really bad if I went in sweats?" I joke. Alexander laughs and drums his fingers on my stomach.
"Yes." I groan as I bounce off his body and I keep scanning the suits.
"I'm not paying more than $150 for a suit. Tops."

"Come out!" Alex says.
"I don't want to." I say from inside the dressing room. I look at myself in the full length mirror, getting a good look at myself in something so fancy.
"I don't think suits are my thing." I say.
"What?"
"I feel like I would look better with a button up and some nice dress pants. But with a suit...I don't know."
"John, just come out." I sigh, pulling the curtain back and walking out slowly. Alex's eyes widen and he scoffs.
