John's P.O.V
Alex does his homework, rambling about something under his breath.
"Alex. You're rambling again." I say, typing on my computer and drinking from my water bottle.
"It's just all so fascinating."
"You say that about literally every homework assignment you get."
"Ever been to Boston?" He turns to look at me and I shake my head, not looking up.
"Heard it's amazing. Lots of history in that place." He says. I look over at him and I see a little glisten in his eyes that only appears when he's really passionate about something.
"Let's go during winter break." I say. His eyebrow raises.
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah. It's not that far away, we could probably drive there in less than 5 hours if you really-" I'm cut off by Alex embracing me.
"Thank you!" He says. I pat his back and he pulls away, smiling and blushing slightly.
"No problem." He smiles and plants a kiss on the top of my head before going back to his desk.
It's a common action between us two now. I either kiss his forehead or the top of his head and he either kisses the top of my head or my cheek. It's weird, we aren't dating or anything. It just always happens. Everyone says that we already act like a couple, which I can see why they say that. But we aren't dating.
That doesn't mean I don't want to date Hamilton. I'm going crazy not being able to call him my boyfriend, but I don't want to rush something.
"I'm gonna go to Boston!" I hear him whisper to himself and I can't help but smile.

I get coffee with Laf and Herc to catch up with them on some things. I've been spending quite a lot of time with Alexander and I don't want them to think I don't love them anymore.
"I don't understand hot coffee. It's too hot to drink right away, so you have to wait and then you don't get the energy you need in the morning right away." I say, motioning to Laf's coffee.
"Au contraire. On the contrary, gives me more time to drink it." He takes a sip of it and places it down quickly. He grabs a napkin and dabs it over his tongue.
"Mm." I say simply. "How are your classes so far?"
"They're alright. The professors aren't annoying so it makes learning tolerable." Herc says. I smile and put my iced coffee down.
"Enough school talk. How are you and Alexander?" Laf asks, wiggling his eyebrows. I take a long sip of my coffee, ignoring the question until Hercules grabs my cup and places it down.
"Speak." Herc says. I sigh.
"There's nothing to say."
"You menteur! You liar! Peggy saw the picture of you guys that you took at the arcade. She said the last one was of you two kissing." I widen my eyes, and I feel myself starting to blush a little bit.
"Well shit." I exclaim.
"What even are you guys?" Hercules asks me.
"That's a good question. I don't know. We haven't talked about it. We just like, occasionally kiss." It's true. He tapped my lips before I left to go here and it just makes it all so confusing.
"Why don't you ask for clarification?"
"Because, Alex is...not used to having a lot of friends and I don't want to drive him away so quickly." I say. Lafayette aww's and I almost want to punch him in the face, but I know it's coming from love.
"Do you like him?" Hercules asks.
"Did you really just ask him that?" Laf says and I smile.
"Dude. Just tell him." Herc says
"I'll tell him eventually. Maybe when we go to Boston."
"Boston?!" They both say. I just shrug my shoulders.
"Yup."
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I get back to my room and I decide to do some work. After a while, I look at the time and it's almost 9 PM. Alex still isn't back and I'm confused on where he could be.
I leave my room, grabbing a sweater from the floor and zipping it up. I walk around the room floor, but I don't see him anywhere. I text his phone, expecting a reply but I get no respond. I get a little worried, but I don't worry that much. I go to the cafeteria, and he isn't there either. I panic a little bit. Alex still doesn't really know his way around the campus, but if he was in danger, he would have called me. He always does.
He thought he was in danger once cause of a class mob. It was adorable.
I sigh, wondering where he could be.
And then I think about it.
I go down to the library and I see no one in there except the librarian. I walk in to ask her.
"Hi. Has a man with my length hair, straight, might have glasses on, come in here recently?" She points to a bookshelf aisle and there I see Alex sitting on the ground.
"I've tried to get him out, but it's like he's deaf."
I walk over to him and I stand in front of him.
"Alex?" I wave my hand in front of his face and he's non-reacting, his face still stuck in the book. I smile, pulling out my phone and snapping a quick picture before I try again.
"Alexander." I say. I see his eyebrow raise, but he's still silent. I sigh. I sit down next to him and I try to read a line in the book, but it's all mambo jumbo.
"What time is it?" I hear him grumble.
"10:03." I'm kind of surprised, shocked that I took a long time to find him.
"Hmm."
"Alexander. Close the book. Come back to our room. Come to sleep."
"I gotta..keep..reading." I sigh as I look at him. I then realize I know a way to make Alexander have his full attention on me.
I grab his face lightly with one hand and I connect our lips. Alexander doesn't respond at first, but eventually, he gives in, placing both of his hands on my face, pulling me closer.
Through my beating heart, I grab the book from his lap with my other hand and I place it behind me. He realizes his book is gone and he pulls away.
"My-my book." He says. I smile, shaking my head.
"Alexander, shut up."
"But, now my lap is empty." I roll my eyes as I move on top of his lap. He wraps his arm around my waist and my stomach does flips.
"Much better." He says, smiling.
