Time jump to February cause why the hell not? Also it's 2017 and not 2018. Let's say everything that was before January was in 2016. Also this is Part One
John's P.O.V
Alexander and I sit by his phone, waiting for a call from the driving school. His knee bounces up and down as we've been patiently waiting for 15 minutes.
"What time did they say?"
"2:30."
"Okay, relax. It's only 2:32. Wait, that means we've been staring at this phone longer than we need to?" He nods his head and I just laugh.
"Yeah, sorry. I got excited."
"It's okay."
His phone rings and he picks it up immediately. I take out my phone quickly and I take a picture of him talking on the phone.
"Hello? Yes, this is him. Yes. Okay, when? Alright, thank you so much." He hangs up and looks at me.
"I passed! They're mailing my license and it should come next week!" I widen my eyes and I smile. I stand up to give him a hug.
"Congratulations."
"Thank you! I'm so happy! I can drive now!"
"How should we celebrate?" We pull away from the hug and he shrugs.
"I don't know. There's this amusement park I heard about. Let's go with the gang." I nod my head.
"Sure. Let's do it."
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
We decide to divide the cars up by gender because we wanted to. I have Alexander, Lafayette, Hercules and Aaron while the Schuylers, Theodosia and Maria are in the other car. Aaron sits in the middle with Herc and Laf on his sides while Alexander is in the passenger seat.
"Oh my gosh, I'm gonna make sure I run to the car and lock the doors so I don't get middle again." Aaron says. Everyone laughs.
"Now we can have some guy talk, right?" Hercules says. I raise my eyebrow, laughing.
"Guy talk?" I say.
"I don't know man."
"Aaron, how's you and Theo?" Alex asks.
"We're fine. We've always been fine."
"You ever gonna pop the question? You've been dating for forever." Herc says.
"10th grade of high school." Aaron says.
"Attends quoi? Wait, what? You've been dating her since high school? Oh my gosh." Laf says.
"That's like 5 years. Dude." I say.
"Damn, that is pretty long." Aaron says and we all laugh.
"I'm sure you guys talked about marriage and all that good stuff." Alexander says.
"No, of course we have."
"And?"
"And we want to get married, but not rush anything."
"You're not rushing, you're just getting engaged. People stay engaged and never actually marry the person." I say. Aaron is silent for a while. "Do you want to propose to her?"
