John's P.O.V

Alex comes back from his last class at 5 PM. I finish typing an assignment as he closes the door.

"What are we doing today?" He says as I swivel on my chair towards him.

"I don't know. Whatcha wanna do?"

"I don't know." I laugh.

"Samuel Seabury wanted to hang out with us. He said that you're brilliant but nervous."

"Oh great." I laugh as he sits in his desk chair and rolls closer to me. "I'm the smart guy who's nervous."

"Alright, so let's hang out with him. I have his number."

"When was this?"

"The dinner party."

"Oh. I didn't know you talked to him. That was like...a whole month ago." Alexander says slowly. "He probably wanted to hang out that week."

"Well, we're hanging out now."

"What day is it?"

"Thursday?"

"No, the date."

"10th."

"10th?! It's our anniversary!" I widen my eyes and let out a low whistle.

"Oh baby, I kind of forgot."

"It's okay. Time flies. And it's only three months." We both smile and I laugh.

"So...should I text him?" I ask.

"Sure."

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Alexander and I stand outside Samuel's door, which is slightly open, waiting for him to get ready. Then, we hear some yelling.

"Charles! How many times do I have to tell you to stop using my shaving cream?" I hear Samuel say.

"As many times for it to get wrapped around my thick skull." I hear Charles Lee say. Alexander laughs and the door opens back. Charles first widens his eyes then smiles.

"Hey! You're John and Alex! We're hanging out with y'all today!" He says.

"Yup. Are you guys...okay back there?" Alexander asks. Charles turns around and looks back at us.

"Samuel over there is gonna be fine. That cream didn't cost him that much."

"It was $5!" Samuel yells.

"Oh my gosh, shut up! That's 20 quarters. You're fine." Charles smiles back at us.

"Wow, you guys ever get sick of each other?" I ask and Charles shakes his head.

"We've been best friends since the 3rd grade. This is just a way to keep the friendship alive." Samuel appears behind Charles and slaps him behind the head.

"Sorry for him. He's joining us however, so you're gonna have to deal with...him." Charles slaps Samuel's back and smiles.

"Good ol' champ."

"I think he's high."

"I'm not high! I'm just happy!"

"Cause you got a good clean shave and I didn't."

"Oh my gosh. Stop whining, let's go."
