I Totally Crushed Bowling

Alex's P.O.V

After class, Aaron stops to talk to me before I can leave.

"Hey, you busy tonight?" He asks me.

"Depends on what you're gonna suggest." I say. He rolls his eyes but smiles.

"Theo wants to go bowling, and she wants you and John to come because she wants to get to know you guys better."

"Aw, she's instantly way nicer than you and I don't know her like that. We'll be there."

"Great. I'll text you the address. Meet us there at 7."

I leave class and I stop at the student store quickly to buy some chocolate for John. He's been complaining about wanting some Peanut M&M's, but it's 'too much of a hassle' to get it himself. He's been craving it for a while though, I'm afraid he's PMSing or something even though I know he can't.

I open the door to our dorm and I see John feeding Toby. I see a smile on his face and I smile because he really loves Toby. He says goodbye to her every time he leaves the room, even if it's just to pick up his laundry from down the hall. I throw the candy at him, hard enough for it to hit him, but not to hurt him. He looks down at the bag of candy and then looks up at me.

"Thanks!" He says. He rips it open and inserts a handful in his mouth. "You mnt shmoe?" He says with a full mouth. I shake my head.

"You're a mess." He smiles as best as he can and finishes chewing.

"No but seriously, thanks. My lazy ass was never gonna get it."

"True. By the way, we have a date with Aaron and Theodosia."

"We're dating them now?" I laugh and shake my head.

"You're adorable. We're meeting them at this bowling place at 7 so I'm gonna work on some homework." I go and sit down at my desk and I hear John groan.

"Spend time with me." He says.

"I'm spending time with you and Aaron and Theo later. I'm spending time with my homework, you can spend time with Toby." I hear him groan again and I hear him getting up. He pulls the chair back, which is pretty easy cause we have rolling chairs and he sits on my lap.

"But I want to spend time with you."

"You literally live with me. We sleep in the same bed, we sometimes do other things on that bed, I'm starting to think we should actually get a new bed and not one that's just two beds pressed together." He laughs, throwing his head back.

"I don't think that the school allows us to buy a new bed. What the hell are we supposed to do with theirs?" He rests his head on my shoulder.

"I don't know, stuff them in the closet. Aren't there apartments that the campus allows us to rent out?"

"What about them?"

"We should get one." I say. He lifts his head to look at me and widens his eyes.

"What? Seriously?"

"Why not? It wouldn't be that different. Maybe the bathroom will actually have a bath. And then we'll have our own kitchen and like a little living room."

"But that's not permanent. When we graduate next year, they're gonna take the apartment back." It's silent for a while.

"Well, when we graduate we have to find a place anyway. Why not just start now?" I say quietly.

"Seriously?"

"Why wouldn't we?"

"I-I don't know. We haven't really talked about this part of our future."

"We'll talk later. I want to do homework." John rolls his eyes and gets off my lap.

"Fine." He kisses me. "Love you."

"Love you too."

John lets me drive to the bowling place cause it wasn't that far and I'm still trying to learn.

"You're doing good. You should start reading up on the laws and other things, which should be way too easy for you, and then get your license."

"Yeah, sounds like something that I should do." I stop the car and I go to open the door, but John stops me before I can leave. He grabs my face and plants a kiss on my lips.

"You've been so needy, I'm convinced you're on your period." I say when we pull away. He laughs and kisses me again.

"I just...love you." He says. I look him in the eyes and my heart skips multiple beats. We've said 'I love you' to each other a lot, but this one seems different somehow.

"I love you. Let's go in."

I chat with Theodosia while Aaron and John bowl.

"Wait wait wait wait. You're telling me your mother was a groupie?" Theodosia nods her head and I laugh. "Oh my gosh."

"I know, it's crazy, I don't believe it either. She's so elegant now, but I knew that she had some sort of past." I laugh.

"That's amazing." I hear John exclaim loudly. I look over and I see that he got a strike.

"You really love him, huh?" I turn back to Theo and I nod my head. "That's so sweet. It took Aaron forever to say it back to me. I said it first. I knew he loved me though, I just wanted to hear him say it. It's always good to hear them say it. But even when they don't, you can tell by the actions."

"Aaron, you suck!" I hear John say.

"John, literally shut the hell up." Aaron replies.

"As I was saying, I was complaining for a while that I needed a new charger, and then he got me one. When they actually listen, it's the best."

"I bought John some chocolate today cause he's been wanting some forever."

"Exactly. Bam. You listen, he listens, it's a good relationship."

"Suck it, John!" I hear Aaron say.

"No thank you, now change you to Alexander and then we'll be talking." I feel myself starting to blush and Theodosia laughs. John looks over to us and winks at me.

"Oh my gosh, he has no shame." Theo says.

"He does not."

We get back to our dorm at around 10.

"I totally crushed bowling." John says.

"You did. I must admit." I flop on the bed, exhausted. John takes off his clothes and changes into his pajamas and I do the same. We get into bed and John rests his head on my chest and I wrap my arms around my boyfriend.

"Goodnight bowling expert." I say. John laughs.

"Goodnight Alexander."
