My first thought when I teleported us, Oh damn.
So, I might have landed is in the council of ymbrynes office. And we might have coincidentally landed right in front of Miss Peregrine.
First, she looked look flat out shocked, then relieved, then angry. She placed her hands on her hips.
Before she could say anything, Enoch voiced the words we were all thinking.
"What the hell, Jacob? Now we're all dead." He demanded.
"Mr.O'Connor! Language!" Miss Peregrine scolded.
Enoch glared daggers at me.
"What on Earth were you thinking?!" She demanded to all of us. She was answered with a bunch of blank stares.
"Well?" She prompted.
"I was taken against my will." I pointed out.
"Us too." Spoke up Bronwyn.
Miss Peregrine seemed to notice Bronwyn, Hugh, and Olive standing with us. Her eyes widened in complete shock and she stumbled for words.
"W-why, my dears! How foolish of me!" She immediately embraced each one of them, tears welling up in her eyes. "I was so worried."
"Where's Fiona?" Hugh asked, his gaunt face filled with a sense of desperation.
Miss Peregrine nodded understandingly, "I figured you would want to see her. She's in the dining hall along with the others who were considerate enough not to leave."
She turned to Annie, "Dear, would you mind leading these three-" she gestured to Hugh, Olive, and Bronwyn, "-down to the dining hall? I would like a private word with my wards."
Annie pursed her lips, "Right." She said a bit grudgingly, starting off down the hall, the other three behind her.
I felt a pang of guilt in my chest for Annie. She risked her life on a mission to help save Me, Bronwyn, Hugh, and Olive and the first thing Miss Peregrine did was give her an order. And by the look on Enoch's face, he didn't like this much either, but he stayed quiet.
Unaware, Miss Peregrine turned to the five of us and addressed us each individually, pausing between each of our names as if trying to come up with a unique punishment for each of us.
"Mr. O'Connor... Mr. Portman... Miss Bloom... Mr. Nullings...and Miss Luna..." she crossed her arms as she paced the floor in front of us, "I think I'm going to ask my first question to Mr. O' Connor."
"Oh great," Enoch muttered, sighing.
"What exactly inspired you to be part of this little rescue mission? To my knowledge, you've never been particularly adventuresome."
Enoch glanced at me, "I don't know. I just did."
"You just did?" Miss Peregrine repeated slowly, emphasizing each word.
"Well I was there when the wights took Jacob, I figured I should be there to get him back. Even though he's a complete idiot and he shouldn't have to rely on me for help." Enoch gave me a withering look then looked back at Miss Peregrine.
