Utau POV
It's been a month since Jisatsu's condition was discovered. He has only been deteriorating ever since. Dr. Blackmoore is still no closer to finding out why this happened or how to cure it. Utau walks into the infirmary to see the nurses are walking around quickly and an sense of urgency is in the air.
"What's going on?" Utau asks a nurse as she hurries by.
"Two of the nurses looking after Jisatsu were found hung this morning after they checked on him." She says quickly then hurries off.
Utau finds Dr. Blackmoore in one of the rooms by two covered bodies. "I thought Jisatsu's curse had gotten too weak to kill two people at once?" She says walking in.
"So did I." The doctor says and exhales a cloud of smoke. She looks stressed and a nearby ashtray shows she must have been through almost a whole pack since she had come in that morning.
"How is Jisatsu?" Utau asks.
"Sedated. When I came in he was awake and screaming. When these two went in to re-sedate him his curse activated and killed them both. By the time we realized they hadn't come out in a while they were dead." She explains. Dr. Blackmoore has concluded by talking to Jisatsu when he was calm that he seems to be suffering from paranoid delusions that cause violent outbursts. And when he freaks out his curse is much more likely to lash out at whoever is nearby. "There's also been a new development. He's started coughing up blood. Not a lot but it is a sign his internal bleeding is getting worse. I've set up a blood bag transfusion for for now."
"I'm sorry about your nurses." Utau replies. "So what will you do now? It's no longer safe for you or your nurses to go in a tend to him is it?"
Dr. Blackmoore sighs heavily and rubs her forehead. "I don't know. I guess we'll have to go in larger groups. We don't know that much about Jisatsu's power because it was never studied very thoroughly. So we don't know how many people it can take out at once." She tells Utau.
"Can Shin and I visit him later when you're going in to check on him?" She asks.
"Sure. I'll have a couple other nurses with me. Be back around eleven. That's his next check up." Dr. Blackmoore says.
Utau nods and leaves to tell Shin. She meets him in the cafeteria and fills him in on the morning's events. "So his curse has regained some of its strength?" He asks.
"Apparently. Dr. Blackmoore says we can talk to him around eleven. Her and some of her colleagues are going to give him a check up." She answers him.
"Alright. I will meet you after German class then." He agrees.
Shin meets Utau after class and they head to the infirmary together. Once there they find Dr. Blackmoore waiting with two of her nurses standing with her. She has another transfusion pack and hydration pack waiting on a tray. She also has a few needles with sedatives in them in case of an emergency.
"We're here." Utau announces. Shin nods a greeting.
They walk into the far back observation room. Utau and Shin leave their weapons outside. Jisatsu is still sleeping but wakes up when everyone walks in. His eyes open wide and look wild. The heart monitor shows a spike in his breathing and heartbeat.
"We won't hurt you." Dr. Blackmoore says gently and slowly moves towards his IVs. He glances around the room trying to watch everyone at once. When he sees Shin his heart rate spikes and he starts screaming and fighting his restraints. He screams something in Italian but the words are lost in his hysteria. Dr. Blackmoore quickly tries to sedate him. Before she can stick the needle in his neck she drops it and her expression goes blank.
