Kami POV

When Lazul wakes up his mind is still cloudy and it's hard to think. It doesn't take much thought though to undestand his position. He understood he'd been kidnapped but he didn't know where he was or why he'd been taken. The thought of not knowing what was next was as terrifying as it was exciting.

He sat in his corner and let his mind clear. There were other kids in the room wandering about. Lazul was curious about them and got up to go talk to them.

The first kid he trots up to has dark brown skin and the darkest eyes Lazul had ever seen. His teeth and eye whites were a blinding white in comparison. He's about eight years old, the same as Lazul. The boy is looking around confused and frightened.

"Hello." Lazul says to the boy. "My name is Lazul. What's yours?"

The other boy looks at Lazul blankly and starts anxiously chewing his nails. He makes a clicking noise and looks away. He makes a few other clicks and clucks before Lazul understands.

"Oh, you can't understand me." Lazul looks embaressed, "And I can't understand you." Lazul waves goodbye and goes to talk to a tan girl with thick black hair. Once again he can't understand a single word she's saying.

As he goes around he finds he can't understand most of the other kids. Some of them he recognizes the language, Spanish, French or German, but even more of them he couldn't identify at all. Like the difference between Manderine, Cantonese and Korean. Some of them could speak enough English to introduce themselves or tell him they couldn't speak English.

Lazul plops down in his corner again frustrated he couldn't communicate with anyone. Most of the kids weren't from English speaking countries he understood so it wasn't their fault. Not only were the kids from pretty much everywhere they were different ages to. Kids as young as five and six sat crying in little groups, and kids from ten to twelve wandered about quietly in their own thoughts.

Lazul looked for the girl he had spoken to before he lost consciousness and found her walking around comforting crying children. She was a natural and didn't need to speak fifteen different languages to do it either. She must be a big sister. Lazul thought thinking of his own sister. She must be worried sick by now.

Eventually he spotted the other girl he had come in with. She's standing in the center of the room looking around. She's maybe five or six years old. She has straight white hair reaching her lower back and pale skin. As if she could feel him looking at her she turns to look at him with piercing gold eyes. She smiles and waves at him when the small door slides open.

Two men Lazul hadn't seen yet come in with two kids. One was a defeated looking brown curly haired girl with pale blue eyes. She just walks in without a fight.

The other man has his arms wrapped tightly around an Asian preteen boy's chest. He's kicking and screaming his lungs out. The man who escorted the girl leaves quickly and the other man throws the other boy as far as he can. He leaves and closes the door before the winded boy could get up.

He jumps up and starts pounding the door as hard as he can. He screams at the door in another language. "Watashi go okonatte miyou! Watashi go okonatte miyou!" When a blood smear appears on the door he backs away breathing hard and hurls one last insult at who ever might be on the other side. "Kuta bare! Kuso kurae!"

Lazul walks up to the white haired girl, "That didn't sound very friendly." He says to her.

The girl makes a face, "It wasn't. She looks at Lazul, "Although I would like to talk to both of you. Could you ask him to come here?" She asks.

"Sure." He says walking up to the angry boy. He glares at Lazul with dark brown eyes. "Hi." Lazul says feeling a little intimidated.

"What do you want?" He asks in almost perfect English.
