She didn't say anything and limped out the cell, leaving her food untouched. She scrubbed, her face blank.

She kept her head down and just scrubbed. The ship was still next to Terralend's. she hated herself. She felt dirty. So dirty.

No dirty like grime and sweat on her skin. But dirty in the inside. She could hear the crew loading the things into the ship. She just scrubbed.

She just scrubbed her feelings away. Why did her feelings matter anyway? No one cared. Maybe her mother did. But she had a whole county to worry about. Maybe she should go back.

But she couldn't face her family after what happened to her. She stood up. She felt so dirty. She walked to the railing. The waves were strong today. Strong enough to drown someone.

But the ocean was beautiful. The water glistened off the water's surface. She stared into the water. Should she.....should she jump? Maybe a tiny jump. Just for a swim.

She use to be so strong. A strong girl who stood up to anything that she knew was wrong. Now, she was slowly crumbling. Each piece of her confidence and strive to live crumbling to pieces.

Two days had passed since it happened. That same boy would come back every night and do the same exact thing. She would scream and cry but no one would hear her. She knew that he would be back tonight.

Maybe jumping will- "Annabeth?" She turned around. Percy. He looked tired. Were they that tired from loading stuff on? Try scrubbing everyday.

She didn't say anything and just went back to scrubbing.

Percy was completely exhausted. And so were the boys. He had spent the everyday loading everything. At night he would only get three hours of sleep.

But every time he looked over at her, Annabeth Chase. His heart would race. But the past few days, she'd been acting different.

He would come over to bother her and instead of saying a snarky comment, she'd just look at him and then continue her work. He noticed that she also limped when she walked.

Not only that, but those calculating gray eyes were...empty. They use to be full of light and analyzing. He observed everything in just a few days, in just a few glances. Now, they were just.....dead.

Not only that, but Nico had said she had barely eaten anything. She was beginning to grow thinner than she already was. That was really bothering him.

"Are you ok?" Percy said. He was genuinely worried.

"Why would you care? No one cares," she said. Percy could barely hear her.

"Annabeth," Percy repeated. "If something's wrong, you can tell me."

"I hate pirates," was all she said.

That hurt a bit. But he shrugged it off. Maybe she was still mad about Piper. He left her to give her space.

He went back to help the crew transfer the goods. Terralend had a lot of good stuff. And Percy wasn't letting anything go to waste. Maybe he could sell some and get some gold.

They worked till the moon shone brighter than the sun. He went to sleep, exhausted. He thought he heard screams but he just pushed it away and went into a deep slumber.

The next morning he woke up. The last day of transferring. He sighed. There was still a few stuff and he was hoping they could leave by lunch. He got ready and began to help.

He looked over and Annabeth. then he realized that she was crying. Tears glistened off her cheeks. He wished he could just run over and comfort her but he was unloading precious goods that could potentially strengthen their ship against enemies, saving this crew.

He quickly put the goods in the lower deck. The was the last one. He ran to the upper deck and yelled for them to sail away. He was happy to get away because they were behind schedule. They needed to be at the harbor tomorrow.

Then he ran to Annabeth. He touched her shoulder and she jerked away. He held his hands up. "Annie-"

"Don't call me that."

Her voice sounded so fragile. It sounded so broken. Then he saw a bruise on arm. "Annabeth, what happened?" He grabbed her arm despite her protests and began to look at it. It was finger marks. He was angry.

"Let me go!" She jerked her arm out. "Leave me alone."

"Annabeth-"

She got up, taking her stuff and went to scrub the upper deck. Percy sighed. Why was she so stubborn? Couldn't she see that he liked her?

He got up and went to eat dinner.
•••

He was helping Will take the night shift. He walked around when he heard screams. At first he thought it was his imagination. But he looked at Will.

He heard it to. They. It's looked around, trying to see where it came from. "The cells!" Will said and they both ran to the cells.

Then the screams stopped. But they kept running, swords drawn. They ran to each cell. Then they neared the one to Annabeth's.

"Oh my gods," Will said. There laid a limp Annabeth with Rick slamming himself into her.

Anger flared through him. He kicked the cell door as hard as he could. "RICHARD HERNANDEZ!!!!!" He roared as the cell door flew open. He could feel the ship rock back and forth. "I GAVE YOU A JOB TO WATCH THE PRISONERS, NOT TO RAPE THEM!!"

Rick scrambled back, pulling his pants up, a scared look on his face. Annabeth just laid there. "WILL!!" Percy said. "Get this son of a-"

"Got it!" Will said. He was scared. Both the guys were. Percy rarely got angry and when he did, no one liked it. Will dragged Rick out.

"Tie him up and don't let him go." Then Percy gently walked to Annabeth. He lifted her up into his arms. She looked dead. But her eyes were opened and stared at him. Tears were streaming down her face. And the message she was sending was obvious, now you come?

"How....how many times?" He whispered, brushing her hair out of her face.

"Every night. Four days in total," she whispered.

"Oh my gods." He pulled her closer. "Annabeth, I'm so sorry."

He felt her shake as she sobbed into my shirt. He caressed her cheek, soothing her. "It's ok. It's ok."

"No it's not. I have no one. No one. Piper left. My family hates me-"

"Shhhh." It broke my heart just seeing her like this. "It's ok. Don't worry. You're safe. You're safe."

"No I'm not."

"Yes you are. Nothing is gonna happen to you. I promise." I pulled my shirt off and wrapped it around her. Then I carried her to my room. I put her in the bed and covered her body.

I gently rubbed her hair. I stayed with her till she fell asleep. I kissed her forehead and then stormed outside.

I was not letting him off.
