A lot changed since that night.
After Servando Carrasco was finally proved as the murderer of Hinkle and Stevens, the authorities cleaned the dorm and re-opened the building, which means the Cardinals were back into their own campus and soccer field. The funeral of Jaelene Hinkle took place about one week after the madness stopped, and everybody in UCLA and Stanford attended it. Then, the Cardinals fought until the end and clinched a play-off spot in the Final Four, that is set to start in a week.
Hopefully, they are not facing UCLA yet : as the Cardinals will play Harvard next week, the Bruins, who also qualified and got first place for most points during the regular season, have had a breakout season which put the Seniors in a good place to actually get drafted later this month. The two teams have become very close to each other, but also among the players, which obviously helped them moving forward.
Even though not having each other around all the time feels weird after a crazy couple of months - they bounded against adversity - they got back to their little habits pretty quickly, most of the players seeing each other out of school.
The sun is finally shining for UCLA and Stanford.

After an intensive training and warm team huddle, HAO addressed her players, telling them that their semi-finale against USC will take place tomorrow, and that she trusted them to do the job. Even though there is a lot of pressure, the girls are confident in each other, and ready to kick some ass out there.
