( In the truck)
" Where did you get those?" Uncle Joel asked us as he looked back at us.
" Back at Bill's. They were just layn' there." Ellie told him as I continued to read the comic he had in her hand.
" This is a really good read," Ellie told me. " Now we just have to find the last one."
I had told her all that had happened in the comic so far.
" I got one you might like." Ellie said, snickering.
She pulled out a porn magazine.
" I have a question, Joel," Ellie said, as she opened up the magazine while I laughed. " Why are all these stuck together?"
" Why is what... Ellie that's not for kids! Quill, throw that thing out the window!"
" I'm just fucking with you." She said as she rolled down the window. " You wanna keep this?"
" Nah, you can toss it," I said, still laughing. " Beside's, I never liked to look at those things."
" Alright, bye-bye dude!" She yelled as she threw the magazine out the window.
" You two need to quit goofing'around and get some sleep. We're gonna be traveling a lot the next few days."
" I got an energy bar in here," I told him, as I pulled it out. " Eat it before you pass out on me."
" You tryn' to give me a heart attack?" Uncle Joel asked me. " You got anything else?"
" Only thing left in here is alcohol, pads, and some apple slices...nevermind, Ellie just stole them."
" I guess I'll take it, through it up here."
