Chapter 26- It's the smile and the eyes
" I see a tunnel of smoke," I told Uncle Joel, as I looked out of a window. "Is that your friends doing?"
" Let's hope so." Uncle Joel said.
"Where do you guys usually meet?" Ellie asked.
" Different place's."
" You've never been here, have you?"
" I know this is where he lives. But I ain't been here personally."
We ran into two Clickers on the way to the building that had smoke coming out of it.
Uncle Joel and Ellie took care of it by shiving them.
" I have a question. Let's say we get a car from this Bill guy, what then?"
" We go find Tommy."
" What's your brother like?"
" Exactly like his daughter."
" He was a Firefly once, so he would know were that lab of yours is," I said, in a low tone that we were all now talking in. " He lives pretty far away, that's why we need a car."
" Hey, look," Ellie said, as she chucked. " Gnomes."
" I always thought they were creepy looking fuckers." I told her.
" I like them. But I don't like fairies. They creep me out."
" How can tiny, winged creatures be creepy?"
" I don't know. How do glass, little people creep you out."
" It's the smile and the eyes."
" Same."
