Chapter 39- That was easy
We came to a halt when we saw a group of people talking.
Uncle Joel instructed Ellie how to use a rifle we just found next to a dead body and we covered Uncle Joel while he jumped down.
" They're all dead!" One shouted. " Our numbers, Our numbers!
" The hell is he yelpn' about?" Another asked one of the other men.
" Take a breath," The other one asked. " Who's dead?"
" Half of the goddamn crew! Some tourists took them down!"
" Shit," The other one said. " Have you talked to the boss?"
" Yeah. He wants everyone to hold their ground. Watch the gate."
" Alright, you heard em'! Search the area, don't let anyone through!"
" The hell did these come from!" One of them yelled as he shot at a Clicker. " I swept this area this morning and it was clear."
I watched as Clickers and one Bloater appeared and started terrorizing the Hunters.
" The hell are we going to do?" Ellie whispered.
I tossed a bottle in the opposite direction we had to go and the Clickers and Bloaters followed the sound.
We snuck passed them no problem.
But, sooner than after, we ran into something worse than the infected, a tank.
