Chapter 53- I didn't know
( Quill's P.O.V.)
I climbed up the stairs and chocked them.
I scavenged the area finding a can of fuel for the flamethrower and a bottle of pain relievers.
" Please have gas." I thought as I pulled the generator string.
It started with no problems at all.
The gate opened and Callus came through with Uncle Joel and Ellie on his back.
" Hey, I was thinking... I would have wanted to be an astronaut."
" That a fact?" Uncle Joel asked.
" Yea. Can you imagine being up there all by yourself? Would've been cool. just sayin'. What about you, Quill?"
" I didn't know. Uncle Joel?"
" A singer."
" Can you sing us something?" Ellie asked.
" No."
" Joel...please."
" I see monkeys." I said as we entered the area were the lab way.
" Wow," Ellie said.
We came to a gate that could only be opened from the other side.
" I'll go."
Entering a hole in the building that was right next to the lab, we ran straight into a nest of Clickers and a Bloater.
I walked right past them and found a generator that powered the keycard swiper to open the door that was my exit.
" You think the infected were Firefly's?" Ellie asked me.
" No. They wouldn't be in the school."
" Then why were there infected so close to the lab?"
" I found a map that said there were infected that somehow made it through the barricade." I told her.
Callus jumped over a roadblock, and we finally arrived at the lab.
"No guards, no nothing." Ellie said.
" I change my mind," I said. " That might have been the Fireflies were looking for"
