( Quill's P.O.V.)
" You OK?" Dad asked, as Maria came out and walked toward him.
" Yeah," Maria said.
( Later)
Uncle Joel, Dad and I talked and Dad told us where Uncle Joel needed to go to find where the Fireflies are.
( Uncle Joel's P.O.V.)
" Dad I'm going," I told him. " I'm part of this too."
" You don't have to. Your Uncle can handle it."
" You always told me to finish what I started, so that's what I'm going to do. We'll come back here when we're done."
I hugged Marie and Dad and started getting ready to head to The University of Eastern Colorado.
( 11 days later)
( Ellie's P.O.V.)
" OK," I said. " So let me get this straight. If you mess up your fourth down, then you give the ball to the other team?"
" Right," Joel told me. " It's called a turnover."
" And if you clear the ten yards then your back at... first down?"
" First down. That's right."
" Man, that's confusing."
" Thank you." Quill said.
We stopped when Callus ( the horse) entered the outer side of the campus so Joel and Quill could scavenge.
" What kind of name is Callus anyway?" Joel asked me as he walked away.
" It sounds cool."
I didn't take very long for them to come back.
" What is that?" I asked Quill.
" A flamethr-" I started.
Uncle Joel took it from me.
When we got to the middle of the campus, I spotted the building on the spot.
We entered the building and started to hear moaning.
" Sounds like Runners," I said. " I take them out."
