Soaking in a nice warm tub surrounded by white fluffy bubbles. A handful of candles burned as their tiny flames cast my shadow along the wall. The water was soothing as powerful jets massaged my back and relaxed my aching muscles. I closed my eyes for a moment as I tried to make sense of how this all started. I can remember Lucifer appearing at my doorstep and carrying me off into the night like a thief who just struck gold. Then there was Los Angeles, the city of hopes and dreams. And let's not forget the night that the Devil himself got down on one knee and proposed to me in Italy.

With so many memories in such a short amount of time, I couldn't think of a better life than this one right now. Still, there was one other memory that I cherished most of all; the undying love of my parents as I watched them raise me into the young man I am today. But sadly they passed away before I had a chance to tell them about my new life with Lucifer, and the little bundle of joy that we would soon bring into this world. I know my mother would be thrilled and I'd like to think that she would make a great grandmother.

After a while I opened my eyes to the dim light of the room as I noticed a figure leaning against the doorframe with his shirt unbuttoned and his slacks unzipped. He sauntered over to me and sat down on the floor next to the tub as he laid his arm along the edge and dipped his fingers in the water. Curiously I watched as he touched my knee than playfully stroked my leg as I shook my head and turned off the jets that now worked overtime on back. His touch was attentive, affectionate, and above all very sweet as he tried his hardest to take care of me in preparation for the new life that were about to bring into this world.

"You're staring," I said.

"Staring at you, yes. But that's only because I can never take my eyes off you." I winced as I attempted to get into a better position as Lucifer reached to help, then he added," What's wrong?"

"The baby...it's moving again."

The pain in my stomach rendered more towards my ribcage as I felt a hand on my belly button. And just like that, the baby stopped moving as the pain vanished without a trace.

"How do you feel now?" He asked, his eyes full of concern.

"Better. Thanks for that. Though I believe it's because you have the magic touch."

He grinned. "Well, what can I say? I am the master after all."

I struggled for a bit as I tried to find the perfect balance on which to stand on my own two feet. Lucifer made the effort to help, his immense strength acted as a pillar for support in this my hour of need. Once I was stabilized, I turned on the shower and rinsed myself off as Lucifer handed me a fluffy red towel with our names monogrammed on them. Than I took his hand in mine and stepped out onto the plush white bathmat. But in only a single swoop, he carried me in his arms on our way to the bedroom before laying me down and drying off the rest of my body. I reminded him that I wasn't totally helpless when it came to personal hygiene but he just rolled his eyes.

"Thanks for that," I said, straining to push myself back so I could reach the headboard.

"Don't mention it. Now is there anything I can get you?"

"Well, well, well. Who knew the Devil could be of service."

His eyes narrowed. "Smartass."

"Fine. I will have a glass of Cranberry juice. And could you bring me my phone? I believe I left it on the coffee table in the living room. Thank you so much."

One moment he was staring at me and the next he was gone in a flash. It was only when I was on my fifth breath that he set down my glass with a coaster and handed me my phone in the other. When I told him that I was fine for now, he turned on his heel and walked right out the door. Pursing my lips together a sense of mischief came over me. I tapped the home button on my phone and punched in the four-digit passcode as I brought up my messages and sent a text to Lucifer.
