Jason

I awoke with start, my head spinning rapidly from sitting up too quickly as I laid down on the couch with the TV still on. My muscles felt stiff, my mouth dry. I was in desperate need of something cold to drink to moisten my lips. I swung my legs over and picked up my phone as I tapped the home button and couldn't believe how late it was. Nine o'clock and Lucifer still hadn't returned home yet. Nevertheless, I got up and went towards the kitchen when suddenly I heard a knock at the door. Who could that be? I thought, as I changed directions and went in search of our mystery guest.

But as I made my way to the door. I felt a sharp pain in the pit of my stomach. It got so bad that I was forced to stop and rest against the wall as I drew in a sharp breath. The knocking continued after a moment, followed by the use of the doorbell. "I'm coming!" I shouted out and urged myself to keep going. Yet the pain got much worse by the time I opened the door and saw who it was. Alyson, Autumn and Alice. I hadn't seen them since that time in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive. When I was waiting for my doctor's appointment. The look of shock must've been plastered on my face as the three of them smiled and said "Hello."

"What? What are you guys doing here?"

"We just wanted to surprise you. It's been a while. We missed you." Alyson said.

"Surprise!" Autumn and Alice said in unison.

"Yeah. Wow. This is a surprise. I just wished I knew you guys were coming. But how did you know where I lived?"

"Wasn't too hard." Alice replied. "We just had to look for the largest house with the most taste."

"That's very true," Autumn said. "Well, don't just stand there, Jason. Invite us in please."

"Uh. Sure."

As I stepped to the side, a sense of fear washed over me. And it was so strong that I couldn't bring myself to close the door as the girls headed into the kitchen. I met up with them a minute later as they looked around the place and asked if they would like anything to drink. They said no and complimented on the look of the house. Not to mention, the gorgeous views of the Los Angeles skyline in the distance. With their backs turned to me, I returned to the fridge and reached for a bottle of cranberry juice along with a small glass from the nearby cabinet. The dark red liquid poured into the glass like blood, making my mouth water.

I took a sip. "So what have you guys been up to, since the last time I saw you?"

"Oh, not much." Alyson said, playing with a strand of hair. "Traveling the world and creating mayhem. You know, the usual."

"Like I could forget."

"Jason, did you ever ask Lucifer if I could apply to be his intern for the summer?" Alice asked.

"No, Alice. I didn't. I'm sorry. But he should be home soon enough. If you wait here, feel free to ask him yourself."

"I'll do that. Thanks."

"Jason," Autumn said, leaning against the marble island. "What's going on with your body? You look different since the last time we saw you."

I took another sip. I couldn't possibly tell them that I got mysteriously pregnant by the devil. That would be an entirely different conversation in itself. "Oh. Well, for the last few months I've had this incredible sweet tooth. I just can't seem to stop." I lied.

"No. That's not it." She stepped around the corner and came toward me. Her hand reaching to place itself on my stomach.

"Please don't touch me." I replied.

"Why? What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing. I just don't feel like being touched, right now."

"Oh, come on. That's ridiculous."
