Chapter 8

Bella walked over to Ashley. "I'm going to Jacob's" she said. Ashley looked at her confused Jacob wanted nothing to do with her.

"Why" Ashley asked. "I need to find out what's going on" Bella said. "I'll come with you" Ashley replied shocking Bella.

"I'm not letting you go by yourself, not with Laurent around" Ashley said as she grabbed her jacket from the side.

Bella watched as Ashley walked out of the house. She knew her sister wasn't doing well, she wasn't eating, barely sleeping, she was falling apart.

They drove to Jacob's house and Bella got out of the truck, Ashley copied her as they went over to the door.

Bella knocked and after a minute Billy answered. "I'm here to see Jacob" Bella said. "He's not here" he lied.

"I'm sorry I need to see him" Bella said as she walked in the house. "Bella" Ashley said as she went in after her sister.

Ashley was shocked as she caught up to Bella. Jacob was asleep on his bed snoring lightly. A small smile was on Ashley's face, he looked peaceful.

Bella looked out the window and almost sighed annoyed. She stormed out the house confusing Ashley who still followed.

When Ashley got out she was shocked to see the members of Sam's 'Gang'. She didn't want to go over but then she realised Bella.

Ashley caught up to Bella. "Don't so anything stupid" Ashley told her but Bella shrugged her off and went to Sam.

"Hey, what did you do" Bella snapped at Sam, who stayed quiet. "What did you do" Bella demanded as she pushed Sam's chest, but he didn't move.

Jared went to go over to her, but Ashley stood in front of her sister. Jared's eyes went wide when he saw the state of his friend, but Paul didn't notice her state yet.

"He didn't want this" Bella said. "What did he do? What did he tell you" Paul demanded getting angrier by the second.

"Both of you calm down" Sam said. "Nothing he told me nothing because he's scared of you" Bella snapped.

Paul, Jared and Embry stared laughing. Then Bella done something shocking. She slapped Paul across the face hurting her hand.

She held her hand in pain but that wasn't the end, it was the beginning. Paul started shaking viciously scaring both girls.

"Too late now" Jared said smirking slightly. "Bella, Ashley get back" Sam said to the girls, but Ashley just pushed Bella behind her.

"Paul calm down" Sam said but Paul was still shaking. "You need to calm down" Sam said but Paul wasn't listening, instead in turned into a wolf.

"Run" Ashley said to Bella who listened. Ashley didn't move she was in too much shock as she stared at the wolf.

"BELLA" Jacob shouted as he ran out of the house. "RUN JAKE, RUN" Bella shouted as she kept running forgetting about Ashley.

Jacob turned into a wolf and attacked Paul. "Take them to Emily's Place" Sam said to Embry and Jared as he went after the two wolves who were now in the forest.

"Guess the wolf's out of the bag" Jared said to Embry. He put his hand to Ashley who was staring at him with wide eyes.

Jared bent down so he was at her level and looked directly in her eyes. "You're okay, we would never hurt you" he said softly.

She was scared, she was terrified. "Ash it's me your Jared" he told her softly. She looked at him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Jared carried Ashley to Bella truck. Bella was scared, but Ashley was terrified. Embry drove the truck to Emily's house.

Ashley was sitting on Jared's lap while Bella was in between the two wolves. She knew her sister just needed her friends.

Embry got out of the truck, Jared got out next helping Ashley get out. "I'm fine" she told him as she thought more about the situation.

She felt stupid. How could she be mad at them for keeping their secret when she was in love with a vampire.

"Come on we don't bite" Embry said to Bella who was still in the truck. "Speak for yourself" Jared said making Ashley chuckle.

Ashley went over to Bella and took her hand. "We're together" Ashley told her. "Together" Bella replied.

"Oh about Emily, Sam's fiancé, don't stare it bugs Sam" Embry said. "Why would we stare" Bella asked confused.

The four for in the house to see a woman cooking. "You guys hungry? Like I have to ask" Emily said before turning around.

"Who are these" Emily asked looking at the girls. "Bella and Ashley Swan who else" Jared replied as he took a muffin.

"So your the vampire girls" Emily said. "So you're the wolf girl" Bella replied. "Not exactly, just engaged to one. Save some for your brothers" Emily said to the boys.

Emily looked at Ashley and Bella. "And besides ladies first, Muffin" Emily asked. "No thank you" Ashley said.

"You should eat you look like you've lost about 50 pounds" Jared said. "I'm fine" Ashley said with a false smile.

"Leave it to Jacob to get around Sam's gag order" Emily said. "He didn't tell me anything" Bella told her.

"That's a wolf thing. Alpha's orders get obeyed no matter what. And we can hear each other's thoughts" Embry said.

"Will you shut up, these are trade secrets and this chick runs with vampires" Jared said slapping Embry on the back of the head.

"I can't really run with Vampires, because they're fast" Bella said. "Yeah we'll we're faster. Freaked out yet" Jared said.

"You're not the first monsters I've met" Bella said. "Jacob's right, you're good with weird" Sam said as he went over and started kissing Emily's face.

Jacob and Paul came in pushing each other. Paul sat down and looked at Bella. "Sorry" he said trying to hide his sarcasm.

Bella and Jacob went leaving Ashley with the others. "I'm sorry we didn't tell you, we couldn't" Paul said with a sad face.

"It's fine I understand" Ashley said. "You need to eat you look ill" Paul said. "I'm fine" she lied. "I will force feed you" Paul said. "Try me" she said.

Paul grabbed a muffin and pinned Ashley to the sofa sitting down. He broke some of the muffin off and put it in her mouth.

She was forced to eat it since he knew she wouldn't spit it out. She cared too much about other people's things to do that.

"I won't leave you again" Paul told her. "Please don't" she whispered. "Never, no matter what you'll have me. I promise" Paul said kissing her forehead.

~~(Finally Ashley knows the truth. Paul got pissed off which is nothing new. I love Paul, Jared and Ashley's friendship.
