Ashley was in the hospital. Carlisle transferred her there when he arrived back in Forks. He wanted to keep an eye on her the right way.
"How is she" Charlie asked. "She'll be okay. I see no internal damage so she should be fine" Carlisle told him.
"Thank you" Charlie said. "You're welcome" Carlisle said with a small smile before going over to Emmett who was depressed.
"She'll be okay" Carlisle told him. "She doesn't remember me. She didn't remember her own sister but she remembered Jasper" Emmett said bitterly.
"They were close son" Carlisle said. "But I was her boyfriend" Emmett said. "I don't understand it either" Carlisle sad.
Just then in walked Jared and Paul to the hospital. "Where is she" Paul asked Carlisle. "She's through here" he told them.
"No you're not seeing her. You're kind aren't welcome" Emmett said through his teeth. "Son" Carlisle said.
"We saved her from the inner battle. If it wasn't for us, she'd be dead, so be grateful you filthy leech" Paul said.
They were growling at each other. "Paul, leave it" Jared said dragging his friend away from Emmett.
Jared and Paul went in Ashley's room and she looked at them. "Hey Ash" Jared said as he sat at the end of her bed.
"I saw pictures of you" Ashley told them. "Which one of us" Jared asked. "Both of you. Paul and Jared" she said pointing to them as she said their names.
"What else do you remember" Paul asked. "You helped me. You both helped be through my depression" she said.
"We'll always help you Ash, that's what we do we help each other" Paul told her as he took her hands making her smile.
"I feel good with the Cullens" she told them. "What" Paul said through his teeth. "Jasper helps me. I feel safe with him" she said.
"What about Emmett" Jared asked. "He's kind of scary. But at the same time he reminds me of a teddy bear" she said.
"One day you'll remember everything" Paul said. "I just can't believe I forgot everyone. All my friends" Ashley said.
"We'll never forget you" Paul said with a small smile. He knew that once she remembered Emmett she'd take him back. They were mates, meant to be and he was just a friend who was madly in love with her.
