Chapter 29

Mia's P.O.V

I was talking to Jake and Katie when Logan piped up,
"Do you guys mind if we crash here tonight, you know, sleepover?" He asks. I know what he was doing, for the last 3 years Logan has been trying to patch us up, but considering this is the first time I've seen them in 3 years, I was doing a pretty good job at avoiding it. Everyone looked at me.

"Logan, I don't think that's a good idea" Chance said being the overprotective brother he is.
I stayed silent. I am not gonna speak to any of them.
"Yh bro" Ivan agreed.
Logan gestured towards me and then they gave in after a while but said if anything goes down they have to leave. I rolled my eyes, annoyed. They left me alone before, why can't they leave me alone now?

I stood up to go to the kitchen and grab a bite, all of a sudden Ashley pipes up
"Eww, Daniel, is this the slut you used to date?" She said snobbily.
Everyone went silent and their attention was on us, I ignored it and continued. Daniel had guilt written all over his face.
"Eww and that's her ugly little bitch of a 'daughter'" she said putting air quotations on the word daughter with her fingers. I stopped in my tracks.

I walked back, right in front of her,
"Uncle kade? Can you please take Katie upstairs?" I asked whilst still glaring at this snobby bitch called Ashley. Once Katie was upstairs, I continued,
"Hunny, I know you didn't just talk about my daughter" I Said sassily yet sternly.
"I did bitch. Huh, bitch. Like mother like daughter, wait she isn't even your real daughter" she started giggling, well, more like cackling.

"Bitch please, Katie is my daughter, i gave birth to her, full fucking nine months, you dare say anything about her, I will make it my mission to end you, if anyone touches her, I will kill them, she is the light of my life, my world, lay one finger on her and I will hurt you" I made it clear but then they gasped. Shit. I just let it slip out.

"You mean, she's not adopted, so you did fuck Jake, huh?" She remarked snobbily, at this point Jake was furious too, he gestured at me, telling me I can tell them. But I refused.
"Who the father is, is none of your godamn business, keep your big nose out of my business" I said to which she gasped and touched her nose and pouted towards Daniel. I scoffed then went back to Jake to which Kade came downstairs with Katie and she jumped into mine and Jake's arms.

I heard Daniel muttering something, "excuse me? If you want you can say it to our faces" I said to which he got pissed.
I rolled my eyes, "excuse me? Roll your eyes again?" I raised a brow and did it again,
"Test me" I said,
"Fucking slut" he muttered but loud enough for me to hear. I froze

-Flashback-

"He told me you forced him to, that you said you love him, you forced him to drink so he was under an influence. You fucking forced him to, fucking slut" the last two words rang in my ear.

-End of flashback-

"Bub you okay?" Anthony asked worried. I realised tears were welling up in my eyes and I nodded yet still staring off.
"Mummy don't cry" Katie said bringing everyone's attention now,
"Mummy's not crying angel" I say and kiss her cheek.

I miss the smell of Daniel's cologne when we cuddled, I miss playing with his hair, I miss looking into his deep blue ocean eyes, I miss his lips and the fireworks, I miss him calling me princess. I miss him. Finally, I admitted it. If only I could say it out loud and everything was happily ever after.

Daniel's P.O.V

Why does Ashley have to be so rude? Why do I love her? No. I do. She's not just a distraction because I miss Mia. Right? I felt so guilty after what slipped out of my mouth, I know what it triggered. Who am I kidding. I miss her cuddling into my chest, I miss looking into her gorgeous eyes, mesmerised, I miss her lips and the fireworks, I miss the way she made me feel. I miss her so much.

Mia's P.O.V

Soon, we decide to play truth or dare, well, they did, and they dragged me into it, well, Logan did. He's always trying to patch things up and it's never going to work. I knew it was gonna end bad before we even started to play.
At this point, Katie was sleeping in her room.

"Tessa, truth or dare" Logan asked, "dare" she replied.
"I dare you to give Chance a lap dance" I bursted out laughing and so did Erika whilst everyone else was confused as hell. Once, we were basically talking about scenarios, and this was the exact scenario and it kind of turned into an inside joke.

After everyone had a couple more turns, Ashley, ugh, spoke,
"Mia. Truth or dare?" She asked smirking. I picked truth knowing she'd give me a stupid dare to humiliate myself.
"Who is the father of Katie?" She crossed her arms, I noticed Daniel was getting pissed.
I stayed silent for a moment whilst everyone was waiting for my answer,
"You don't have to answer if you don't want to" Jake comforted. Yet I chose to answer.

"You want the truth? I-I don't know" I said and she scoffed, "seriously? Who is it?"
"Seriously, I don't know" I said.
"What do you mean?" Corbyn piped up, haven't heard his voice in a while.

"There's, t-two possible biological fathers" I said as everyone went silent.
"Ugh slut. Who?" She said as I rolled my eyes. Everyone else had realised.
I stayed silent hesitating, but I have to find out who the father is, it's been 3 years.
