The Lemonade

•Mystic Falls, Present Day•

I groaned as I slowly picked myself off the floor. I glanced around, looking for Elena until I saw her and Stefan on the couch talking.

I rubbed my neck, "Okay, well, I guess I'm not needed here." I grumbled.

Elena stood up from the couch and came over to me. "Thanks, for coming with me. Even though Katherine snapped your neck."

I shrugged my shoulders, "It wouldn't be the first nor the last time. I'm just glad you and Stefan didn't get hurt."

Stefan also got off the couch and came over, "Elena said that Caroline was acting weird today. Do you know why?"

I sighed, there was no point in hiding it, Caroline was acting too suspicious. However, if I'm able to keep their trust, everything is good. "I think Katherine got to her."

Stefan nodded, "It would make sense, I️ mean, Katherine did kill her."

Wait, Caroline has being going around and telling everyone that Katherine killed her? Instead of me?

"If Katherine did get to her, Caroline is going to follow everything that Katherine says because there is a large chance that she's treating someone Caroline loves."

"What do you think Katherine wants?" Elena questioned.

I chuckled, "Isn't it obvious? She doesn't want you two together."

"I'm impressed." Katherine told me as I walked through the door. "Even after Caroline almost screwed up everything, you're able to keep their trust."

I scoffed, "I did learn from the best."

Katherine poured herself a drink, "The one thing that was stupid on your part, was trying to get Caroline to blame you for her mistakes. I know you too well, Julia, you know how to follow directions."

I rolled my eyes, "What's your plan, Katherine?"

Katherine tilted her head and stared at me, "I'm going to let you think that over."

I threw my hands into the air, "Why do I even try?"

Katherine chuckled and placed down her drink on a nearby table, "I want you to watch Elena and Stefan. According to Caroline, they 'broke up' tonight, but you and I know that was staged for Caroline."

I stared her down for second, "How long do I have to wait? Until I see my family?"

Katherine smiled, "Not long, and then we go see everyone."

My ears perked up, "We?"

"Did you think I would let you go alone?"

I grew frustrated, "I'm not a child, Katherine! I just want to be with my family alone!"

She shook her finger at me, "Not going to happen, and that's a done deal."

I narrowed my eyes, "You aren't my mother. You should just tell me where they are and you can do your own dirty work."

I eyed her phone, which rested right next to her drink. Her phone would have everything I would need on it. Without thinking, I sped over to it and tried to grab it, however, Katherine grabbed me by the neck and thew me back.

Katherine laughed, "Nice try, I was wondering when you would try that." She picked up her phone and waved it in front of me. "However, I'm not stupid and have a password on my phone." She paused, "You will continuing doing as I ask, and you won't argue with me anymore, because I'm just getting sick and tired of this."
