• New York City, Present Day •

After Abigail introduce me to Fallon, we went to their home, which happened to be the townhouse Fallon had me pinned against. Once inside the their home, I could sense that at lease two other people were living here, but I ignored it, and sat down in the living room.

Abby asked Fallon to pour each one of us a glass of water, and as Fallon went into the kitchen, Abby sat down on the couch across from me. "I don't know where to start." I gave her a confused look as she chuckled. "I don't know if I should ask you about Katherine, or if I should talk about me and how I met Katherine and how I got here."

I hesitated when she said Katherine's name, and then slowly, my mind drifted to what she was doing. Was she suffering like I did in the tomb? Had she already gotten out? I mentally sighed, as much as I try, Katherine will always be on my mind.

Just then, Fallon had came from the kitchen with try holding three glasses of water. I was quick to take one off the tray and took a sip of the water. "Well, you can start with her." I stated, before I looked back at Fallon. "Sorry."

Fallon just shrugged it off and walked out the living room while Abby let out a small chuckle. "Fallon is technically one of my many my great great great grandchildren. She also happens to be very protective of everything and everyone, even though I am much older than her." I smiled, however, I then frowned. I didn't even know what happened Lawrence and his child, only the little that Katherine told me. I don't even know if I have great great great grandchildren. Abby must have noticed, because she was quick on changing the subject. "Well, I guess I'll tell you about Katherine."

Abby took in a deep breath and started her story, "After we left you, we followed through with our plan of going out West. We didn't know where, but we just went. Not too long in our journey, Father got sick with a cold, due to the sudden changes in weather. Him not having good lungs to start with, basically meant death for him." A tear fell down her cheek. "We left him on the side of the road to let him die in the end, because mother didn't want to deal with him. Worst part was that our dog didn't want to leave him either, so he stayed. I never saw either one of them again. "

"We traveled until we hit Tennessee, when the wagon no longer could handle any more traveling. Once we were there, Mother played me off as her sister and told all of the men that she was a single women. After that, it was long until she married a rich plantation owner. I stayed with her for about a year before I left and found myself a husband. We stayed in Tennessee for two years, in that time we had two kids. One girl and one boy, Priscilla and Edwin."

Abby smiled just thinking about them, something I wish I could have had with Lawrence. "After Priscilla was one and Edwin was a couple months old, we decided to move because I could no longer stand even being in the same state as Mother. As shocking as it is, we moved back to Philadelphia. That was our home, and I hated the thought we had just left you by yourself, especially when you needed us the most."

Abby starting laughing when she started her next line, "We actually moved into our old house. If you can remember much of it, most of it was destroy from the break ins during the fever, so the price was very cheap. Plus, my husband was a carpenter and he was able to fix the place in no time. It became our home."

My sister sighed, and I knew she was about to get into the deep part of the story. "Flash forward to a couple of months before our twenty-first birthday, I received a letter... from Katherine. I do not know how she had figured out where we were living, but inside the note, she wrote me telling you had gotten really sick while in New York City and the chances of you living until our birthday were slim. In conclusion, she was to reunite us before you 'died'. I believe the letter quickly and made arrangements quickly to get a carriage to take me there, leaving behind my husband and two children." Suddenly a waterfall of tears fell from her eyes. "I felt like I had to redeem myself because of what happened last time. I was so desperate to do so, that I didn't even think twice about leaving the family I had made myself."
