•Mystic Falls, Present Day•
Do you the worst part about being kicked out of Caroline's dorm? It was the fact that Katherine decided to move in with the Salvatore brothers. Meaning that me, Juliana Mitchell, had to face Stefan Salvatore everyday and see how Katherine would give him her lovely-dove eyes every time he past by her. But to make matters worst was the fact that Katherine was miserable, meaning that I was miserable. She was constantly nagging about her joints aching, she had back aches, and the worst of all, after wearing high heels all day, she would complain about her feet killing her.
Which, you guess it, meant I had to give her massages. Just my luck.
But at least, she would drown her pain in alcohol at the Mystic Grill which was fun for me. It was fun seeing drunk Katherine. It was the only time I wouldn't hear her complain about her pain and misery. However, the downside of being at the Grill, was the fact that Matt was there, which meant that Katherine's attention was on him and instead of me. Because we all know damn well that Katherine couldn't pay attention to the one person would do anything for her.
Yet again, here we are at the Grill and Katherine was begging Matt to give her more alcohol while Matt was clearly watching some video on his phone. And me, well you guess it, sitting next to Katherine who wasn't paying any attention to me in the slightest.
Katherine kept shoving her empty glass into Matt's face. "How about it, Matt? Matty Blue-Blue. I want another drink!" Katherine cried out, and I was mentally shaking my head. Drunk Katherine also meant she was embarrassing to be around because she wanted things her way, and for once in her life, things weren't going her way.
Matt glanced up from his phone for a second and looked over at the other customers. "No. You're drunk and scaring the customers." He quickly glanced at me, "You tell her." He told me before returning his attention to his phone.
I rolled my eyes and took a sip out of my Diet Coke. "Please, I may be sitting next to her, but I'm completely invisible to her. Just be glad you only have to deal with her here, I have to deal with her all day."
Katherine glance over at me a gave me the stink eye, which I happily smiled at. At lease that got to her. But yet again, her attention was back on the human behind the counter. "You realize that every single time you say no, it just makes you hotter, right?" I rolled my eyes at that statement. Do you see my pain now? "What are you watching? Some Czech reality show?"
Matt was quick to put down the phone and give his attention to her, "How'd you know it was Czech?"
That made Katherine very happy and she grabbed her empty glass and held it up for Matt to see. "Eye contact. We're getting started."
"You translate, you drink." Then they traded, the phone for the glass.
As Katherine began watching the video on Matt's phone, "Since when do you speak Czech?" I asked.
Katherine turned to me and smirked, "Wow, even after years of being best friends, you are still learning new stuff about me."
I clenched my jaw, "That's because you lie and manipulate the truth so I never know what is true." I fired back.
She rolled her eyes and returned her focus to the video. "What the hell am I looking at here?" She asked Matt. "So over the summer, I went to Prague. Met a girl, and she followed me back here. And then her boyfriend just put the spirit thing in my head."
Automatically, my mind with straight to Nadia, mostly because Nadia just said she was going back to Prague, but I don't want to get ahead of myself, but let's wait and see.
As the video continued, Katherine's face filled with concern, something that was very rare in Katherine. But clearly it was something important to get her going this way, and something tells me it has to do with Nadia in someway. "Oh, dear, this is bad."
