Silent Tears

Darko Miguel Montijes is a bittersweet part of my life. Ang kabataan ko ang siyang nagbukas ng puso ko para papasukin ang isang mapanganib ng nilalang sa aking buhay. Minsan ang kaligayan ang pansamantala lamang. Long before you realize it, pain will eat you whole. Mapaglinglang man ang pag-ibig ngunit ito ay parang magneto na humuhigop sa buong pagkatao mo.

Sa buhay ko, natutunan ko nang tumanggap ng mga katotohanan. Gaano man ito kasakit. To the extent that I'm almost numb to feel it. I might be masochist but, acceptance is the only tool to move forward.

Matagal na panahon ang iniwang bakas sa akin ni darko ngunit parang sariwa pa rin ang sakit na dulot niya. Pretending to move on helped me regain myself back. I might be fooling myself but it helped me to heal myself somehow.

Its been what, 5 years since they parted ways. He met him when she had her OJT at their modelling agency, sister's company of their clothing line business. He is the current CEO the time she met him. It was a whirlwind affair. His irristable charms won her elusive heart.

Napukaw ang pagbaliktanaw niya ng biglang bumukas ang pintuan ng office niya. They are her friends who are always barging in unannounced.

"So the renown bachelorette is still busy now?"
Napaangat ako ng tingin. Taas kilay ko silang tiningnan.

"What brought you here bitches? Wala ba kayong pinagkakaabalan?" Mataray kong tanong sa kanila.

"Don't you know the word take a break?" Bitches they are. Ang titigas na mga ulo. Ayaw ko pa naman yung iniistorbo ako.

I've been working here in the Philippines for almost half a year now. I stayed in Paris taking up master's degree in fashion design and worked there. Si Cheska ang kasama ko duon at siya rin ang kasosyo ko ngayon. We decided to settle here and start up our business as partners.

"Hay naku, ang kulit nga nitong dalawa. Inistorbo din ako sa ginagawang kong design. They have important thing to say to us daw." Cheska can't hide her annoyance. Ang kulit kasi nitong dalawa eh. They are both models. Louise and Freya. The four of us are close friends since college days. Block section kasi kami.

"Ang susungit nyong dalawa. Me dalaw ba kayo pareho" tawa ng dalawa. Parang mga baliw ito.

"Okay we're here because its Justin's birthday. He wants to celebrate tommorow since its friday". Si Freya.
"Ano game tayo?" This time si Louise na ang nagtanong.

Justine is our gay friend during our OJT days. He is one of the witness how much tears I've wasted for Darko. How i silently weeped in a corner day and night. I bitterly smiled with that memories. Sa murang puso ko, winasak niya ng lubusan.

"Cassandra?" They are looking at me like I'm the crazy one.
"What's with that smile huh?" Cheska asked me. Minsan tong babaeng ito, sobra niya akong nababasa kahit anong kilos ko. I can't hide things from her. Ganun niya ako kakilala. The perks of being her bestfriend for life.
"Nothing." shrugging my shoulder to show my innocence.
They just looked at me intently.
I gave up.
"Okay we're going" i finally said it to them.
