Silent Tears

"Jen, is there any pending scheduled meeting set this afternoon?" I asked my secretary as I pressed the intercom button.
"None so far maam.  I'll just meet those who wanted to make appontments with you. That will be included in the week schedule ahead maam."
It's Jen.  She's been my secretary since I started my business here in the Philippines.  I like her a lot simply because of her being a hardworking person not to mention her as a trustworthy employee. Halos lahat ng transaction ko sinasalang niya bago isali sa scheduled meetings.
"Thank you jen! You may go early if your done with it."
"Yes maam" and I pressed the end button.  I can feel fulfillment in my life now.

Tinawagan ko si Freya kung matutuloy pa ba kami later.  And she confirmed it.

I arrived at Edge Club just in time.  We agreed to meet at nine in the evening.  Medyo dumarami na rin ang mga taong pumapasok sa loob.  I can see the parking lot has already numbers of cars parked there.  Kinakabahan akong tumungo sa main door ng club. I was greeted by pleasant usherettes. They checked on my identication card before allowing me to enter.  It was cold inside the club.  

Tama ang hinala ko.  Madami na nga ang mga tao sa loob.  I adjusted my eyes from the rays of the blinking lights at the dance floor rolling up to the entire area of the club.  People are already busy chatting and having drinks.  May mga sumasayaw na sa dance floor.  Some are making out in the corner.  Not minding that they can be seen in such an scandalous manner.  Others are just flirting before taking chances   of being laid down. 

Smell of alcohol is already up in the air.  That means, it was high time for drinking session.  Kaya pala meron ng mga ganitong eksena.  Napailing na lang ako sa mga nasaksihan ko.  Ang kapusukan nga naman ng tao.

I texted cheska if they are already inside Edge Club. 

From me:
Are you at Edge Club now? Just arrived here.

Yes.  Andito na kami lahat sa loob ng club.

Mukhang ako ata ang late sa kanila.
I am looking for familiar group of people i wanted to hang out with.  From the crowd, i saw them occupying the sofa area.  
I slowly move to their direction. Sa kalagitnaan ng paglalakad ko patungo sa kanila, bigla akong natigilan.   i saw a familiar figure. 
Then my phone vibrated.  I fished out from my purse.  Tiningnan ko.  It's from cheska again.

He is here.

Bigla akong nanigas.  Nanlamig ang mga kamay ko.  Parang akong napako sa kinatatayuan ko.  This can't be happening.  Akala ko nasa US siya.  Bakit siya nandito?  I wanted to run away from here.  Hindi kami pwedeng magkitang muli. 

I think it will not work anymore.  I can hear Freya calling my name na mas lalo nagpakaba sa akin.
"Cass! Here!!!!" Kala siguro niya di ko sila nakita. She yelled while waving her hand at me cheerfully.
Bakit kailangan niyang gawin yun.  Oo nga pala avid fan pala siya dati sa relasyon namin ni Darko.  Siya yung palagi nagpumilit sa akin na bigyan ng unlimited chance si Dark everytime na may hindi kami pagkakaunawaang dalawa. 

Sabi pa niya, i should be thankful that I am a woman whom he is serious with.  Sa dami ba naman daw na mga babaeng nagkakakandarapa sa kanya, ako yung pinili niya.  Ngunit pinagsisihan ko na ang pagkakataong yun na sumira sa murang puso ko.  Ang hindi niya alam, he left me with shattered heart.
