The heat was intense. The sun would burn his skin if it weren't for the long sleeves and the hat that protected his face. He was exhausted. His eyelids growing heavier each moment that passed. His lips dehydrated. He reached his pouch with his hand and he brought it to his mouth, trying to capture even the last drop of water. He was grateful for the ostrich-horse he had stolen.

Who? What am I? Prince of the Fire Nation or an outcast? My own Nation is after me... What am I? A failure, maybe, or someone who's desperately trying to find his place in the world. Deep down he knew... he always knew that the throne was his destiny. But what did change that? What made him unsure?

He raised the palm of his right hand wiping the sweat from his forehead's white skin. He looked in front of him. Zuko was relieved to finally catch a glimpse of a village some miles away. He took a deep breath and he pushed his feet against the ostrich-horse's torso urging it to continue walking that way.

"Mum, who is that girl, why are they taking her in prison?" The young boy asked innocently as he got a glimpse of the guards drifting a fifteen-year-old girl, violently.

"I'm sure your father has a good reason to imprison her," Ursa said doubtingly.

They had stopped staring at the guards taking her away. Zuko looked in her eyes. They were purple, and he could have sworn, she noticed him too. His mother's familiar voice drew his attention back.

"Common, now, let's go," Ursa said taking his hand and they started walking away.

As the young Prince walked away he turned his gaze which searched maniacally to find her, but they had already taken her away. Who was that mysterious beautiful girl?

"Iris..." He muttered. His eyelids opening up again, noticing that he had given up to the temptation to close them.

He blinked a couple of more times trying to clear his view until he realized that they had already reached the small village. He could only hope that the money he had would be enough for something to feed his gurgling stomach...

"How about you just learn first how to move a rock?" Toph asked.

"Sounds good. Has Aang already mastered than move?" Iris asked shrugging.

"No, Twinkle Toes is with Katara mastering some high leveled techniques in water bending, or something," Toph said indifferently "But since you have already mastered water bending, it's time for your earth bending lessons," at that she smiled evilly pressing the fist of the one hand in the other.

"Okay, lead the way," Iris said shrugging.

"Get in your stance," Toph started and Iris did "The key to earth bending is your stance. Earth is a stubborn element, if you're going to move it you need to be stable," she instructed.

"Okay,"

Toph raised an eyebrow doubtingly and she hit Iris on her shoulder powerfully making her fall down with a wince of pain. "How's that stable?!" Toph asked frustratingly.
