Tic-tac... tic-tac... tic-tac...
A heartbeat, beating in a slow, rhythmic tempo, was all she could hear. She slowly started to stir. It took a small moment to retrieve her senses. But when she finally noticed her surroundings, she felt a warm hand passing around her back and resting on her elbow. She had a pretty bad idea of what was happening and where exactly she had rested her head all night.
Her eyes widened in surprise as she turned her head to glance at whose arms she rested in. But she pulled it off when she realized that Zuko was still sleeping. Even in the thought that she had slept all night on his chest, she felt her heart beating loudly. But she didn't want to wake him. She just rested her head back on his chest and she closed her eyes, trying to enjoy whatever was left of the feeling.
Focusing her attention on his rhythmic heartbeat she could easily tell how peaceful he was. And it was a surprise for her... it was the only night after months, she experienced with no nightmares.
When she noticed him, taking his hand off her elbow, she realized that he had finally woken up. She raised her head to look at him but she startlingly pushed herself away after a loud cry of alarm he unleashed when he found out how close they were.
"Geez, Zuko, you scared me off," Iris complained placing her hands on her face trying to wipe the sleepiness away.
Zuko's cheeks flushed, there was no way he could hide that blush right now. "I'm sorry, I was just surprised to see..." he hesitated not finding the words "...well... you know,"
"Well... you said to hold you," Iris said. Now it was her turn to blush.
"Yeah, but I... didn't mean all night!" Zuko exclaimed embarrassingly.
Iris noticed the embarrassment and his flushed cheeks, and she raised an eyebrow looking playfully at him. "You said to never leave you," She said innocently.
"And I meant it... but... not like this," He said again.
Iris laughed amusingly. He was so cute when he got embarrassed. They had, of course, returned back to the deserted town and they had slept in the same destroyed house Iroh was waiting in.
"What's so funny?" Zuko asked, clearly irritated.
"You're so cute when you get embarrassed," Iris said amusingly.
Zuko's cheeks became dark red "I'm not embarrassed,"
"I can tell when you're lying,"

"What's out here?" Sokka asked.
"A lot actually," Toph said sitting on the one knee and touching her hand on the soil. "There's hundreds of little-" but she wasn't able to continue when Aang cut her.
"Schuss, I know you can see underground but don't ruin the surprise," Aang said and he giggled "Just watch,"
Aang played a note on the Air Nomad flute he held and at the same moment, a little cute creature came out of one of the holes playing the same note with its voice.
Aang laughed amusingly "Yeah," and he continued with the next note. "I'm putting an orchestra together!" he said excitedly.
"Orchestra, huh? Well, la, di, da," Sokka sang and three more of the creatures came out of the other holes playing the same notes with their voices.
Aang did again a couple more times until Sokka came again and he placed his finger on the flute's front blocking the sound from coming out and stopping Aang.
