"Look , we escaped from the Dai Li, we got Appa back, I'm telling you we should go to the Earth King and tell him our plan. We're on a roll," Sokka said crossing his arms and smiling optimistically.

"One good hour after weeks of trouble isn't much of a roll," Katara said placing her hand on her waist.

"We can build on it. If we want to invade the Fire Nation when the Eclipse happens we need the Earth King's support," Sokka insisted.

"What makes you think we'll get it? I don't guess you've noticed but things don't always go that smoothly for our little gang," Toph said folding her feet against her chest.

"I know but I've got a good feeling about this. If Iris were here she'd agree with me," Sokka said.

"You know, drama-queen is not the most optimistic person," Toph said smirking.

"But this time will be different," Sokka said.

"Sokka, Long Feng is in control of the City. His conspiracy with the Dai Li is too powerful. I think we should just go take Iris and leave this horrible place behind us," Katara said.

"I'm with sweetness, I've seen enough of Ba Sing Se... and I can't even see!!!" Toph exclaimed raising her hands in defeat.

"But now that we have Appa back, there's nothing stopping us from telling the Earth king the truth, about the conspiracy and the war," Aang said smiling widely.

"See, Aang's with me, Iris would be too. It's the whole reason we came here in the first place, we have to try," Sokka said.

Katara skeptically placed her hand on her chin "Well, I guess if the Earth King knew the truth, things could change," she said.

Toph woke up saying "I don't trust the new positive Sokka..." and then she pointed at him exclaiming "...Long Feng brainwashed you, didn't he?!"

They ignored her as they saw some Earth Kingdom boats sailing around Lake Laogai. "That's probably the Dai Li searching for us... so?" Sokka asked looking at Katara.

"Let's fly!"

Iris winced loudly as she tied the bandages around the cut flesh of her hand from Jet's broadswords. She could feel the sweat slipping down her cheeks. She had mostly healed the wounds with her water bending, but still, the cuts were deep and she couldn't stop hemorrhaging. She wrapped the other edge of the bandages with her teeth and she dragged it tighter. Keeping the wound tight, there was a chance she'd stop bleeding.

She heard the door of their new apartment opening and she felt footsteps on the floor.

"You did the right thing, my nephew, letting the Avatar's bison go free," Iroh's voice heard.

He did what?! Iris thought surprised. She didn't expect that.

Iris wiped the sweat from her forehead and she walked into the living room. Iroh was closing the door and Zuko seemed slightly weak.

"I don't feel right," Zuko said, his sight turning blurry. When he looked up at Iris he tried to walk towards her, but his legs could no longer keep him up and he fell on the floor, drifting with him one vase.

Iris immediately ran towards him, and before he was able to even touch the floor, she wrapped him in her arms placing his head on her lap. "Zuko!" she nearly shouted worryingly.

She took immediately the water out of the pouch she had tied around her waist and she started bending the water on his forehead. He had a really strong fever and no matter how much she tried, she couldn't bring it down. She was exhausted as well, and bleeding wasn't helping.
