Katara's been in that room for a long moment and the other's had just been waiting outside. Zuko couldn't stop pacing around. He was too nervous to hear about Iris's condition. But he still couldn't forget the moment during the fight when Iris came out. She was so angry that she wasn't even herself anymore. Zuko had noticed that dark color on her eyes, it wasn't just worry what he felt, but also fear.
"Would you stop tossing around?!" Aang asked irritated.
"We're all as worried as we can be, you're making it worse that way!" Sokka said irritated agreeing.
"Katara's been in that room all day. I just can't stop the worry, okay?" Zuko said.
"Oh, calm down!" Toph exclaimed "All of you! Iris is alive I can feel it," she said.
"But we are calm!" Aang exclaimed.
"Are you kidding me-?" Toph tried to ask but she stopped when Katara finally opened the door of Iris's room and she walked out.
Everybody woke up and greeted her with worried and eager glares. "How is she?" Aang asked immediately.
"I healed most of her scars and bandaged all her wounds. She'll be okay, but she's lost a lot of blood and she needs rest," Katara said with the serious expression on her face.
"Can we see her?" Zuko asked worriedly.
Katara shot him a deadly look and she said "One at a time. We don't want to shock her just barging in all together. I wouldn't suggest you entering," she said looking at Zuko.
"What-?!" Zuko exclaimed but he was cut by Sokka.
"Look, buddy, I know you want to see her badly, but she'll freak out if she sees you here with us," Sokka said.
Zuko sighed "Okay,"
"Aang, you go first," Katara said.
Aang nodded and he walked towards her room and he entered closing the door behind. She was lying on her bed in the room which was hers a hundred years ago and he felt like old times.
Iris had closed her eyes trying to focus on resting. Aang walked towards his sister with tears streaming down his cheeks. He sat on the bed beside her and he took her hand in his. Iris opened her eyes and when she saw Aang she smiled.
"Don't cry for me," Iris said weakly.
Aang let out a terrible sob and he wiped his tears with his other hand. "I'm so sorry, sis," he said between sobs.
"Don't be," Iris said.
"I can't believe it... I can't believe they hurt you just to get to me," Aang said crying.
"You're important, Aang," Iris said.
"You're important too... to me," Aang said squeezing her hand gently.
Iris smiled at her brother warmly. She raised her hand and she cupped his face gently. "I would never let them find you," she said with a tear escaping from her eyes.
Aang tried as carefully as he could and he hugged his sister gently, resting his head on her shoulder. "I love you, sis,"
"I love you too,"
They stayed in each other's arms for a long moment. When Aang fended away he walked out of the room letting Sokka come in. Sokka ran towards her and he sat at the chair beside her bed taking her arm in his.
"How do you feel?" Sokka asked immediately.
"Much better," Iris answered weakly "How did you find me?"
