The next day came quickly. They've been wandering in a forest for the last weeks. After a short moment of packing up they realized that Momo was missing. "Where's Momo," Aang asked.
After wandering around the forest they finally spotted some traps hanging from the branches of the trees. Along with the three of them Momo was trapped with some animals as well.
"Hang on Momo!" Aang shouted and he used his air bending to jump on the branches of the tall tree from which Momo hanged from.
Aang drifted the trap close to the others releasing him from it. Aang managed to save the other animals that were trapped in the other cages. "This will take forever," Sokka said and he wrapped his boomerang. He threw it around the cages cutting the ropes they hung from and making them fall down releasing the animals free.
"These are Fire Nation traps, you can tell from the metal work," Iris said taking a closer look. "There is a Fire Nation camp somewhere here in the forest. We must fly off the sooner the better," She said.
They returned back in the camp and they started packing up their camp "Uh-uh, no flying this time," Sokka said.
They all turned and looked at him as they stopped loading their things on Appa. "What?!" Iris asked.
"Why wouldn't we fly?" Aang asked
"Think about it. Somehow Prince Zuko and the Fire Nation keep finding us. It's because the spot Appa, he's just too noticeable," Sokka said.
"What?! Appa's not noticeable," Katara said.
"He's a gigantic fluffy monster with an arrow on his head, it's kind of hard to miss him," Sokka said making Appa roar offended.
"Sokka's just jealous because he doesn't have an arrow," Aang said to Appa.
"I get why Zuko keeps finding us but this is different. You saw the traps they were clearly Fire Nation, there must be a Fire Nation camp around here and if we don't want to bump right onto them we better get flying," Iris said.
"I know you all want to fly but my instincts say we should better play it safe this time and walk," Sokka said.
"Who made you the boss?" Katara asked.
"I'm not the boss I'm the leader," Sokka said pointing at himself.
Iris choked a laughter "You're the Leader, remind me who saved your butt two days ago," She said.
"But you're voice still cracks," Katara said.
"I'm the oldest and I'm a warrior so... I'm the Leader!" Sokka said.
"You're not the oldest in here, dum-dum, I'm three years older than you," Iris said placing her hands at her hips and raising an eyebrow.
"If anyone is the Leader is Aang, I mean, he is the Avatar," Katara said.
"Are you kidding he's just a goofy kid,"
"Then Iris, she's my protector, if anything she is the older and has a better experience in war," Aang said.
"Thanks, Aang," Iris said smiling at her brother.
"Why do you boys think that someone always has to be the Leader? I bet you wouldn't be so bossy if kissed a girl," Katara said crossing her arms.
"Ooh," Iris said laughing receiving a deadly look from Sokka.
"I've kissed a girl, you just... haven't met her," Sokka said lying... it was pretty obvious.
