Davina's pov

Kol drops me off at my house, I drag myself over to the front door pulling my suitcase along with me, I hesitantly lift my hand up and knock on the door, I stand in silence for almost a minute when someone finally opens the door, I smile weakly at the brunette girl as she gasps in shock "D-Davina oh my God you're back" Elena says pulling me into a hug which takes me by surprise "yep here I am" I say nervously as she pulls away "come in your dad and uncle are out but I'll call your uncle while you unpack" she says allowing me to enter the house, I head straight up the stairs once she closes the door.

I don't bother unpacking everything from my suitcase I leave a few items of clothing just in case I need to leave for emergency purposes, once I've put everything away I shove my not completely empty suitcase under the bed then I head downstairs to wait for my dad or uncle to come back "so I called your uncle he's on his way as for your dad he's currently busy" Elena says as I step into the living room "busy doing what?" I ask out of curiosity and concern "your dad hasn't been himself lately due to Klaus" she says "yes I know that" I say "the thing is the night you left Klaus compelled him to turn off his humanity" Elena explains "what!?" I ask alarmed how dare Klaus do that he had no right to do that to my dad "yeah and he's been stirring up trouble for Klaus ever since that night" she says I raise my left eyebrow at her in question "really?" I ask she nods "he claims he's doing it to get back at him for everything he's done since he got here" she explains "how much trouble has he exactly caused for Klaus?" I ask concerned for him "he stole the coffins that contain his other siblings" she says I feel my stomach drop Kol's not going to be happy about that "Elijah and the other brother?" I say "yes and Rebekah" she says "who?" I ask confused "you remember the bitchy blonde girl from senior prank night the sister" she explains "I see how did my dad end up getting her?" I ask "I daggered her" she says looking a tad guilty "you seem guilty about it why?" I ask "she attends our school now and she had been getting ready for a school dance I went to see her to talk to her about their father me and Rebekah were talking casually there wasn't any threatening and she was sort of spilling her sorrows to me and I felt sorry for her but I also felt threatened by her when she started talking about her and Stefan's past and how she never got the chance to live like a normal person so I daggered her" Elena says fiddling with her fingers I frown at her words and I can't help but feel disgust form in my stomach by what she did sure Rebekah was a bitch to us that night but from what Kol told me Rebekah has always been a sensitive and insecure girl who only ever wants love and a family of her own but never gets it because of Klaus and the fact she's immortal and the fact Elena daggered her when she was vulnerable was very low "that was kinda petty Elena" I say making her look up at me "how was it petty of me?" She asks "you daggered her when she was most vulnerable even if you don't like her it still wasn't nice what you did" I say "so you wouldn't do the same if it were Katherine?" She asks I feel anger boil up in my chest at her words "don't change the subject Elena" I snap at her she nods "I'm just saying it was petty and a little out of order" I say "she's Klaus's sister she had to be daggered at some point" she says "I think Rebekah could've been handled with better and I don't mean by trying to kill her I mean by trying to be her friend to try and understand her better" I say "I guess you're right" she says just then I hear the front door open and close then I hear a swooshing sound "Davina?" I hear my uncle say I stand up and turn round to face him "hi" I say nervously "hi is that all you have to say?" He asks sternly "you ran away I went looking for you but I couldn't find you I was worried sick about you!" He yelled moving to get closer to me "I'm sorry I had to get away" I say "that's no excuse to run away Davina you can't always be running from your problems otherwise you will never learn in life" he says "you don't understand how I was feeling you could never understand!" I yell tears starting to fill my eyes making my vision blurry "try and make me understand so I can help you" he says "everything got too much for me I had just got my heart broken I could feel my dad slipping away from me and to top it all off my magic was getting stronger and I had no idea how to control it I left to protect everyone from myself and to fix myself" I say wiping away a tear that escaped uncle Damon frowns and looks at me sadly "I'm sorry Davina I wasn't paying attention to you I was putting all my attention on Klaus, your dad and trying to keep Elena safe" he says "I get it" I say "you don't get it I'm your uncle I'm supposed to look out for you when your dad starts acting up and I failed to do that but I won't fail you again" he says pulling me into a hug I close my eyes as I take in his scent which calms me "if it makes you feel any better I wasn't alone while I was gone I met this witch she helped me with my magic" I say leaving out the part that the witch is my aunt but I'll tell him later prehaps when my dad's sane again "I wish you would've at least called me" he says pulling away "I'm sorry" I say "now as for this guy that broke your heart Elena told me he's Klaus's brother and that he used you" he says anger building up in his eyes "yes but everything is okay he actually came looking for me and he explained himself and apologized" I say uncle Damon scoffs "oh I'm sure he is sorry but he'll be even more sorry when I get my hands on him" he says clenching his fists angrily my eyes widen and my heart hammers nervously against my chest "no don't you even dare touch him!" I yell in defense "excuse me he lied to you he used you" he says "look I don't expect you to understand but he came for me he explained everything to me and apologized I believed every word he said" I say "how can you be so naive? He was clearly lying" he retorts I glare at him "I am not as naive as you may think and I know he was being honest me I'm a witch and a witch can always tell when someone is lying" I say "prehaps he was being honest with you but don't forget he is Klaus's brother so therefore he can't be trusted and he's our enemy" he says I shake my head "I don't care if he's Klaus's brother and he's certainly not my enemy" I say with all seriousness on my face "Davina he's just looking out for you I think you should stay away from this guy" Elena says butting in as always "don't tell me what to do did you stay away from my dad when you found he was a vampire?" I ask Elena goes silent "only for a few days" she answers "despite the fact you know he drinks blood, he can compell people to do whatever he wants, he can easily become a monster and having him in your life would put you in danger it didn't change anything for you" I say "your dad never lied to me though" Elena says "really so he didn't tell you about Katherine the minute he started getting strong feelings for you did he tell you about me once you knew he was a vampire" I say she goes to respond but I hold my hand up "I'm not going to stay away from him he means way to much to me and nothing you say or do will make me change my mind now if you'll excuse me I'm ending this conversation and going for a shower" I say turning on my heal heading for the stairs "we aren't done talking about this!" Uncle Damon yells once I'm half way up the stairs "yes we are!" I yell as I reach the top of the stairs "I'll be telling your dad about this!" He yells "good luck with that!" I yell slamming my bedroom door as I step in my room blocking out my uncle's yelling with I little huff and a small smile I make my way into my bathroom picking up some clean clothes on my way.
